ONTD Original: The Victims of Venus in Retrograde
Retrograde planets (planets that look like they’re moving backwards) tend to cause problems with whatever that planet rules in astrology. Now we’ve all heard about Mercury in retrograde and its infamous troubles with communication. But recently, Venus went into retrograde from July 25th to September 6th, wreaking havoc with Venus-related things like money, beauty, and of course, love. Let’s take a look at 10 celeb couples that were torn apart during or around Venus in retrograde:
1) Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert (July 20)

Venus in retrograde gave us a sneak peek of what to expect when Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert announced the end of their 4 year marriage. Cheating allegations from both parties soon came to the surface but luckily a prenup made the divorce go relatively smoothly.
2) Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale (August 3)

Gwen filed for divorce due to “irreconcilable differences” in early August after 13 years of marriage. They plan to share joint custody of their three children.
3) Reba McEntire and Narvel Blackstock (August 4)

Perhaps the most shocking split came from Reba and Narvel who issued a joint statement announcing their separation after 26 years of marriage. In their statement, they said that they had been separated for several months but made no mention of whether or not they filed for divorce.
4) Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy (August 4)

Ahead of their new ABC show premiering this fall, Kermit and Miss Piggy announced that they were splitting up “after careful thought, thoughtful consideration, and considerable squabbling.” However, Kermit moved on quite quickly with his new younger girlfriend Denise.
5) Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards (August 5)

After leaving One Direction and Naughty Boy, it was only a matter of time before Zayn ended his 3 year relationship with his fiancée Perrie, allegedly via text message. Luckily, they’ve been kept busy with Zayn working on his new real music and Perrie joining the rest of Little Mix to promote their new album.

Country star Jake Owen took to twitter to announce his divorce from wife Lacey Buchanan after 3 years of marriage. They previously met on the set of two of his music videos and together they have a 2 ½ year old daughter named Pearl.

Megan Fox reignited the hopes of fanboys and fangirls everywhere when it was announced that she filed for divorce from Brian Austin Green after a 5 year marriage and 11 years together. Like usual, things ended because of “irreconcilable differences” and they plan to share joint custody of their two children.

House of Cards actress Robin Wright and actor Ben Foster ended their engagement for the second time this past August. Allegedly, the 14-year age difference became a problem as Robin saw Ben to be “too immature.”

This reporter shouldn't have asked why Serena Williams isn't smiling
At a press conference on Tuesday the tennis champ was honest with a reporter who asked her why she wasn't smiling.
"Normally, you're smiling when you win. You laugh," he said. "What is this tonight? Is it because you beat Venus? Are you thinking about what's coming up next?"
"It's 11:30. To be perfectly honest with you, I don't want to be here," she replied. "I just want to be in bed right now and I have to wake up early to practice. And I don't want to answer any of these questions. You guys keep asking me the same questions. You're not making it super enjoyable. Just being honest."

Daniel Craig tried to donate money to a politician who doesn't accept donations
Daniel Craig should have done his homework: the James Bond star and US Green Card holder who cannot vote in federal elections has donated $47,300 to Americans Socially United, a PAC that supports Bernie Sanders.
Americans Socially United has failed to file important finance documentation and its founder, Cary Lee Peterson, owes multiple creditors major debts. Sanders' camp has repeatedly requested that Americans Socially United stop using Sanders' name in their promotional materials because it (obviously) confuses supporters who think they are giving money directly to the candidate they support, and Sanders doesn't support PACs.
Americans Socially United, on the other hand, says it's spent over $1 million producing and distributing promotional materials for Sanders.

Jessica Alba's Honest Beauty features honest diversity, deals with honest lawsuit
The Honest Company, founded by Jessica Alba, launched its beauty site today, Honest Beauty. While the Honest Company focuses on baby products and home cleaning supplies, Honest Beauty is all about make up and skin care. The line includes 8 colors for foundations and the website features a diverse array of models, so you can easily see how a product might look on your skin tone, plus make up tutorials by Alba herself.
In her words, “I am a woman of color and when I started acting when I was twelve years old, good lord, it was hard to find some good foundation. And I just felt like every other beauty line made me feel like I needed to be somebody else.” While some ONTDers are pressed that she struggles with a multi-ethnic identity, Alba's European & Mexican roots inspired her inclusive take on the sites products & marketing. The sensitive snowflake ONTDers will appreciate that Honest Beauty products are not tested on animals and are free of parabens and synthetic dyes & fragrances.

She worked on "Get the Look" video tutorials (won't embed, but you can watch on the site) where she demonstrates some of the products- really helpful, since it's nice to see how different prodcuts apply. She said making the tutorials gave her a new respect for Youtubers who do nothing but put make up on all day on camera.
Prices are somewhere between make-up counter brands and higher-end drugstore brands. A sheer lip crayon runs about $18 and it's $28 for a 1 ounce tube of tinted moisturizer with SPF 20... I wouldn't rely on the SPF though (see next cut). Just like with the Honest Company, customers can "Bundle" and get regular shipments of prducts to save money. A free trial will get you a cute sampler, but then they'll charge you $50 for the 3-product-bundles after that unless you call to cancel. If it's like Honest Co, you can space out your bundles farther apart than 1 month if you need to.
Jessica and other women of color may need their naturally protective melanin, becuase the Honest Co is facing a $5 Million lawsuit that their sunscreen is ineffective & mislabelled. Photos of sunburns have been cropping up on social media, posted by people who used the Honest Company Sunblock and still got fried. Alba says the lawsuit is "baseless" and she emphasized that people need to understand that natural mineral-based sunscreens need to be re-applied frequently, as they don't penetrate the skin the way chemical sunscreens do. I've used it and I agree - it has a different consistency than chemical-based types.

On dealing with Anxiety:
"I have a prescription. I find a certain peace by thinking of me in public as sort of an avatar self. You out there can have the avatar me. I can keep me. And I just try to acknowledge that this scrutiny is stressful, and that anyone would find it stressful. So I’ve got to try to let it go, and try to be myself, and focus on important things, like picking up dog poop.”
