Jen Kirkman got "weird treatment" from unnamed male comic

Last month on her podcast, comedian Jen Kirkman discussed sexism in the comedy industry and said this:

And then I had another guy who is a very famous comic. He is probably at Cosby level at this point. He is lauded as a genius. He is basically a French filmmaker at this point. You know, new material every year. He's a known perv. And there's a lockdown on talking about him. His guy friends are standing by him, and you cannot say a bad thing about him. And I've been told by people "Well then say it then. Say it if it's true." If I say it, my career is over. My manager and my agent have told me that. They didn't threaten it. They just said to me "You know what Jen, it's not worth it because you'll be torn apart. Look at the Cosby women." And this guy didn't rape me, but he made a certain difficult decision to go on tour with him really hard. Because I knew if I did, I'd be getting more of the same weird treatment I'd been getting from him. And it was really fucked up, and this person was married. So it was not good, and so I hold a lot of resentment.

This of course is getting (very little *sigh*) traction in light of the recent allegations of Louis CK's sexual misconduct toward female comics.

-Her boyfriend Chester Castellaw is a soccer player for the Real So Cal youth soccer club.

-They attended opening night of Deaf West's "Spring Awakening" in Beverly Hills.

-According to witnesses she stood quietly next to her boyfriend and looked happy, was using ASL to talk with deaf audience members (she took 2 years in school).

-She is 17 now and will soon play the lead role in the upcoming film "Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys," scheduled for release in 2017.

Since we're in the revival era (i blame The Walking Dead), here's 10 shows that need a revival (by ONTD standards).

10. Joan of Arcadia

We need a third season because God told Joan that her last two years were just practice for her greatest challenge, a man that talks to God and probably the Devil too and has a sinister agenda. (And was also player by Prison Break's Wentworth Miller).


9. Roswell

First of all....bless those Dido credits and it's 90's goodness. It had a bit of a satisfying ending, but it could've had a lot more seasons delivering nice stories. Plus, imagine Katherine Heigl coming back to a show...any show.... Plus, Jason Behr's last acting job was in 2012.


8. Everwood

Emily VanCamp has been known for playing a deathly bitch (her deathcount includes: everyone in 'Revenge', a lot of Hydra agents in 'Captain America', and 'Brothers & Sister's creativity.) but before Emily Thorne, she was a sweet girl in a sweet show. Plus, Everwood was one of the first shows to start the trend of sending stuff to Network Execs with the Everwood Ferris Wheel Event. Also Chris Pratt player an (even more) lovable version of himself.

7. Once & Again

Probably nobody remembers this show about two divorce parents hooking up and having to deal with their exes and their kids, but it was incredibly good; it won a few Emmys and it was extremely relatable for children of divorce. It is mostly known for being a few of the first tv shows to have an anorexic vamp fall in love with a teen lesbian coke whore. Also, Shane West was super cute in this.

6. Gilmore Girls

It's been all over the news this last week. Make it happen, people. I need to know Amy Sherman Palladino's original ending.

5. Two Guys and a Girl

Before Ryan Reynolds became a movie star and Nathan Fillion became fat a tv star. They were in this pretty cute, and actually pretty funny sitcom (which ABC killed when they moved it to fridays). It'd be hard to make Ryan Reynolds come back to a sitcom but maybe a few months to film it could fit his schedule...

4. Freaks & Geeks / Undeclared

Judd Apatow's comedies were really good back then, and both shows were one-season wonders. Most of the cast seems to still be down to earth enough to go back and do a few more episodes (except Franco).

3. Baywatch Nights

Hasselturd playing a detective solving ridiculous paranormal crimes with shitty special effects?! Count me in! I'm all for amphibious, serial-killing women hell-bent on procreating or were-wolves bullying teenage runaways living in an earthquake-prone abandoned building. Just imagine how ridiculous the ONTD discussions would be!

2. Happy Endings

BEST COMEDY OF THIS GENERATION AND THAT FUCKING COUNTWDOWN WAS FUCKING CRUEL. THEY'RE ALL UNEMPLOYED, NOW JUST FUCKING DOOO IT.....i have a lot of unresolved feelings. I'm sorry...but seriously tho, this show was AH-MAH-ZING.

1. Firefly (LOL NO. You got Serenity and an ending. Deal with it)

1. Boy Meets Boy.

A gay spin on The Bachelor with lost of hunky gay men. It's like a show designed for ONTD. And you just need a few hunky gay or straightbendy nobodies to stirr up some shit!

This may not be celebrity related enough, mods, but I thought it was important to share anyway. Beau Biden was the attorney general of Deleware and introduced his father at the DNC in 2008. Joe, as you guys probably remember if you're familar with U.S. politics, lost his first wife and daughter in a car accident in 1972 a month after he was elected senator. He was sworn in at the bedside of Beau and his brother Hunter.








He was a good guy, I'm heartbroken to see him go.

-Complex points out that the show has been getting deserving negative reviews from other publications.
-Her trademark voice has been reduced to a rasp.
-Instead of hitting the high notes she bleats out "woo woos" and "no nooo" in different ranges during the show.
-Performing her hits in chronological order doesn't make sense and it hurts the fluency of the show.

GRRM Not Writing Any Episodes for Season 6 of GoT

GRRM told EW that he won't be writing any episodes for the sixth season of Game of Thrones as he remains focused on trying to finish The Winds of Winter. This is in line with another statement he'd given to EW in that he wants to get the next installment of his series out in 2016 and hopefully before the next season of the show.

He has also been cancelling interviews and convention appearances (such as Comic-Con) so as to continue writing.
