- The film will be based on Neil Gaiman's 2006 short story of the same name.

- The comedy/sci-fi short story follows two boys who attend a party to get to know a couple of girls. It is eventually revealed the (human) boys are chatting with girls from another planet.

- Fanning will be playing the main alien girl.

- The film also stars Nicole Kidman, whose role is still unclear.

- If like the original story, the film will be set in London during the 70's.

- John Cameron Mitchell (of Rabbit Hole and Hedwig and the Angry Inch) will direct.

*This Sunday, while all of you are watching Game of Thrones, Fox will air the 250th episode of the Parents Television Council's favorite show.

*In addition to featuring Liam Neeson's special set of skills, the milestone episode is kind of noteworthy because creator/exec producer Seth Macfarlane, in a move that probably made Fox shit themselves, turned the keys to his billion dollar franchise over to his 29 year old personal assistant Jaydi Samuels.



*Started out as a PA at Family Guy after graduating from USC in 2008, got promoted to various production departments, and eventually became Seth's assistant three years ago.

*Wanted to be Seth's assistant because she heard he is very good about promoting people from within(he is...most of his previous assistants are now writers/producers at Fuzzy Door.)

*Heard someone else was getting interviewed for the assistant position, so she stalked Seth around the Fuzzy Door offices until she finally got him cornered alone in the office kitchen, handed him a letter explaining why she was the best fit for his assistant, and got an interview.

*Says the best part about being Seth's assistant isn't just the perks like flying in a private jet or getting to go to the Oscars. She doesn't spend all day picking up dry cleaning and answering his phone. Says Seth is very generous in terms of letting the people who work for him become a part of the process. Any part of the creation of his TV shows/films that she shows interest in, she gets to take part in--writing, directing, scoring.

*Thinks show runners need to seek female comedy writers out instead of just saying female comedy writers don't submit scripts, because they are out there.

*Liam Neeson is in the episode and is a joy to work with. He was up for anything and wasn't a diva demanding rewrites.

Chicago Med, Blindspot & Heartbreaker.


Chicago Med will be the 2nd spinoff of Chicago Fire (which currently includes Chicago P.D.)
The cast will include S. Epatha Merkerson (aka Lieutenant VanBuren from L&O mothership), Oliver Platt (last seen fighting with Diane Lockhart on The Good Wife and pushing Alicia out of her law firm because the Kings are all "eff you audience"), Yaya Dacosta and Nick Gehlfuss (aka the very hot Jay Halstead's brother Will).

Blindspot is from Greg Berlanti (ye who has destroyed Oliver Queen)

A Jane Doe is discovered naked in times square (cue angry comments) covered in strange tattoos w/no memory of anything but somehow her tattoos are connected to an FBI agent and they work together to solve mysterious stuff. Apparently this was either too good or not good enough for SyFy
The cast includes Sullivan Stapleton, Jaimie Alexander (guess we won't be seeing Lady Sif for a while), Audrey Esparza, Rob Brown, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Ukweli Roach
and Ashley Johnson.

Heartbreaker is based on the real life experience of Dr. Kathy Magliato a heart transplant surgeon. So basically NBC is going to bore us to death with medical dramas.
The cast includes Melissa George, Dave Annable (last seen on the Fox's flop Red Band Society), Don Hany, Shelley Conn, D.L. Hughley, Jamie Kennedy (apparently the bar for talented actors was missing altogether so they chose anyone who walked in the door), Maya Erskine, J. Louis Mills and Joshua Leonard.

Namie Amuro recently announced that she will be releasing her new album "_genic" on June 10. The album features various international producers such as David Guetta, Joacim Persson (Lady Gaga and Selena Gomez), SeventyEight (Kerli and Loreen), James “Keyz” Foye (Beyonce and Sean Paul), and SOPHIE (Madonna). Zedd also supposedly produced the song "Stranger" on the album, but I haven't found any articles/reports that confirms it. The album is described as an R&B, 80s, and 90s influenced dance pop album. This is a notable difference to Namie's previous releases which primarily featured an EDM sound.

An album preview has been released yesterday to give fans a listen to the new direction in Namie's music. However, the video will be taken down on May 20, so be sure to get a listen before it's too late.

Rush have hinted that this summer's tour might be its last, and now it's official thanks to the ailments of age. Guitarist Alex Lifeson says that drummer Neil Peart suffers from chronic tendonitis in his arms and has shoulder pain, which is the last thing a drummer needs. Peart, who turns 63 on 9/12, is an unquestioned legend of the drum kit, but after 50 years of playing a physical instrument it's caught up with him. Especially given how forceful he plays. The whole kit shakes even though it's secured to the drum riser.

"It’s just getting to the point, no matter how much we love doing it, that it’s much more demanding and much more difficult."

We caught a glimpse of the Batwing in the teaser trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but our first detailed look at the Batwing has finally made its way to the internet, an exclusive courtesy of Umberto Gonzales aka El Mayimbe of Latino Review.

Concept art for Wonder Woman has finally leaked, though it's only a single picture. It looks much like the official image of Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman released a few months back, but with an added cloak and a confirmation that she does indeed have the lasso.

Rumor has it (from JoBlo's editor-in-chief) Common's currently undisclosed role in David Ayer's Suicide Squad might actually be that of Black Manta, Aquaman's archenemy in the comic books, and his appearance in the movie could lead in to his main role as the villain of Aquaman, the 2018 DC film starring Jason Momoa as the titular character.

The Wall's on set! Viola Davis was spotted on the set of Suicide Squad and appeared excited to start filming her scenes as Amanda Waller, as are we!

Batfleck was also seen on the set of Suicide Squad, attempting to hide his batbeauty while filming what many fans speculate to be a flashback scene of the Joker killing Robin (possibly Jason Todd), leading to a 'disagreement' between Harley Quinn and Mr. J.

Meghan Trainor is currently promoting her #1 album "Title" in Australia, touring and doing the radio show rounds. During the Dan and Maz show, Meghan revealed that she brought her best friend along on tour with her. Her best friend Ashley helps her sneak out at night to go out partying, as well as helping her prepare for her shows. Talking about Ashley, Meghan said, "She does everything. She'll go pee with me. She'll make sure I'm alright. She's never not next to me, it's great."



Meghan also heard about Sam Smith's vocal cord hemorrhage and she shared her own experience of having a vocal cord hemorrhage. Talking about her vocal cord injury, Meghan Trainor described it as looking "like a bloody popped pimple on my cords."Meghan had to vocally shut down for months, so her father built her a speaker that she hung around her neck like a necklace. Meghan couldn't talk, so she would type and the speaker would talk for her. Describing talking through the speaker, Meghan said, "I was Stephen Hawking for like a couple months."
