- Though he issued an apology, U.S. Census records have revealed that Affleck has an additional 9 slave owning ancestors throughout Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia.
- The records indicate that Affleck's 12 known slaveholder ancestors owned a total of 214 slaves.
