JLaw really, really wants her relationship with Chris Martin to be publicly official, now that Goop herself gave her a seal of approval.
"Jen took Gwyneth's comments as the green light to go public with their relationship. She's persuading Chris to make things official. She's tired of sneaking around trying to keep it a secret - it's making her feel as if their relationship is controversial or she's doing something wrong. She's now keen to show the world she and Chris are an item," an insider tells a magazine.
Chris Martin is also careful entering this relationship, as he had not yet recovered from conscious uncoupling '14. ONTD Original: Band Drama That Time Forgot
In the midst of this juicy blink-182 break-up, I started thinking about all of the band drama I lived through and invested my possibly-somewhat-emo/scene teen years invested in. I saw someone in one of the posts suggested an ONTD Original featured said band drama, so here it is.

It's only fair to start this off with one of the most iconic band dramas of all time in the emo music scene: Brand New vs Taking Back Sunday. This one arguably started many of the band dramas to come. Of course, it all started with a girl. Jesse Lacey's (Brand New) girlfriend cheated on him with his childhood friend, John Nolan (TBS, Straylight Run). Many a songs were penned, including Seventy Times 7 and The Shower Scene by Lacey, and Timberwolves At New Jersey and There's No I In Team by Nolan.
The song that started it all, and one of Your Favorite Weapon's more popular songs. Lacey fires shots with the lyrics: 'Is this what you call tact? / I swear you're as subtle as a brick in the small of my back / so let's end this call / and end this conversation'
This is later quoted by Nolan in There's No I In Team, because emo kids don't do subtlety:
Lacey was even emo enough to write a song about said ex-girlfriend, and how much that bitch hated Morrissey:
Eventually, ties were restored when Lacey joined TBS to sing a mash up of both songs and hug things out in 2002. Proof that no emo reputation or girl is enough to destroy a long friendship!

What happens when your fellow band mate dates your sister and cheats on her? You get pretty damn pissed off and leave the band to start your own one, taking Shaun Cooper with you. Thus, Straylight Run was born. Adam Lazzara dated John's sister Michelle around the time their second album, Where You Want To Be was being worked on.
Its been speculated that Another Word For Desperate is about Adam:
And that Slowdance On The Inside is about John/Michelle and possibly Jesse:
Nolan, Cooper and Lazzara have all made up since then, and Taking Back Sunday returned to their original line up in 2011 with a self-titled album. I would guess that there's no bad blood between himself and Michelle either, as both are married now.

It seems that Adam's douchiness didn't stop there. Adam dated Chauntelle DuPree (of the band Eisley) from 2006 to 2008. They were set to be married in March 2008, but Adam called it off a month before their wedding. He began dating a family friend of the DuPrees and married her after only five months. It's speculated he may have cheated on Chauntelle due to the timing of Mischa's pregnancy and the quick wedding.
Still, that didn't stop him from writing a song about it on their last album.
It's likely that a lot of the songs on Eisley's The Valley were inspired by this, as well as our next band drama:

Look at all these happy kids hanging out. Sherri DuPree (Fun fact - Sherri also dated Jesse Lacey and inspired most of TDAGARIOM. Thanks girl) and Chad Gilbert (both on the far left) were married from February to December 2007. They divorced, and shortly after, Chad and Hayley started publicly dating. It's speculated that Chad cheated on Sherri and started pursuing Hayley on Warped Tour (so a few months into their marriage), but nothing is confirmed. Of course, Mama DuPree had to get involved, and rant about it on the AbsolutePunk message boards. Again, songs were penned about it. Smarter and Mr. Moon by Sherri:

This is when Max Bemis of Say Anything gets involved. By this point, Sherri had moved on and met Max. They got married, so you can guess that this song didn't bode well with him.
He tweeted: "today i heard the worst new music i've heard since vanilla ice attempted to make rock music. don't quit your day job, dude." as well as a lengthy letter apologising and explaining why he'd done it. It's far too long to post though.

In 2013, news broke that Mikey Way (My Chemical Romance) was cheating on his wife Alicia with a 20 year old model. It was not too long after this that My Chem broke up.

In 2010, Josh & Zac posted an exit statement on Josh's blog, stating how pissed they were that the band was all about Hayley now, how they didn't like the lyrics anymore because they weren't Christian enough etc. It's tldr, but the whole blog post can be found here.
What did he name his new band? Farro. Hmm.

Author of The Thorn Birds, Colleen McCullough, dead at 77
Before Twilight, before Fifty Shades of Grey, there was.... the dubious mess that was/is The Thorn Birds.
The OG of messy, and I do mean MESSY romantic bestsellers, Colleen McCollough passed away on Thursday in hospital on Norfolk Island. She was 77 years old.
The Thorn Birds was made into a miniseries starring Richard Chamberlain in 1983. TV Guide describes it as follows:"A priest is torn between his calling and the lure of a rancher's daughter in this sumptuous epic set in the Australian Outback from 1920 through '62. Miniseries king Richard Chamberlain is in peak form as ambitious Father Ralph, whose turbulent, enduring romance with beautiful Meggie Cleary resulted in the second highest-rated miniseries ever (after `Roots'). This adaptation of Colleen McCullough's novel also earned Emmys for Barbara Stanwyck, Richard Kiley and Jean Simmons."
McCullough was also a qualified and trained neurophysiologist and worked at hospitals in Australia, Britain and the Unitied States (Yale Medical School, Connecticut).

He was convicted of gross indecency in 1952 and was chemically castrated. Hetook his own life in 1954. Turing was given an official apology by the British government in 2009. Four years later, the Queen granted him an official pardon.
- Turing was one of 49,000 men convicted of indecency under laws banning gay sex.
- Now Bourgeoisie has added his name to an open letter already signed by more than 40,000 people urgingmembers of the royal family to give a pardon to all those who were convicted of a crime because of their sexuality – a pardon that could wipe clean the records of 15,000 men still alive.

Larry Wilmore Explains Why He Was So Comfortable Calling Out Bill Cosby
A lot of us were pleasantly surprised when TheNightly Show host Larry Wilmore used his second episode to weigh in on the Bill Cosby rape allegations. "That motherfucker did it," Wilmore, a black man in comedy, said about Cosby, another black man in comedy.
That kind of realness was like Judd Apatow calling out Woody Allen -- except it actually happened! Well, it seems Wilmore didn't hesitate to add to the "destruction of Cosby's legacy" because he's never been a big fan of the arrogant Ghost Dad star.
"He was never a hero of mine," explained to THR. "I liked Cosby, but I have a different relationship with him than a lot of people because I didn't grow up on The Cosby Show. I grew up on I Spy and Chet Kincaid. I remember in the late '70s, early '80s, my mom met Bill Cosby down in San Diego at this tennis tournament. She came back and said, 'We asked him for his autograph, and he was so mean, so nasty. He said, 'I don't do that.' 'I was like, 'Man, what an asshole.' My opinion of Cosby at that point was like, 'What a jerk.' I never even watched The Cosby Show. I always thought, 'That's great that that show is on,' but about him I was like, 'Whatever, Cosby.' Richard Pryor was my hero. Richard Pryor was keeping it 100."

ONTD Original: The controversial hipster church Hillsong and the celebrities who attend its services
Church attendance rates are at the lowest they've ever been, and churches are especially finding it hard to attract young people, but one church in particular is successfully appealing to Christian youth. By presenting itself as hip and trendy, Hillsong Church has suddenly made it cool for young people to attend worship services. Services are held in music venues, members sport tattoos and beards over more conservative fashions, and the worship music sounds more like the indie, alternative, and EDM stuff that's popular today. This "hipster church," as it is called by many, even has its own charismatic leader: 36-year-old Hillsong pastor Carl Lentz, who is friends with many of Hollywood's biggest celebrities. The church has come under heavy criticism lately, for its leaderships' refusal to comment on issues such as gay marriage and abortion, as well as its questionable finances and allegations of child sex abuse. Some have even called Hillsong Church a cult. Let's take a look at Hillsong Church and the celebrities who attend its services.
What Is Hillsong Church?
Hillsong Church is a Pentecostal megachurch that was founded in 1983 when Frank Houston's Sydney Christian Life Centre at Waterloo merged with the Hills Christian Life Centre in Baulkham Hills, which was established by his son, Brian Houston. While its headquarters are in Australia, the church has many international offshoots, including Hillsong Church London, Hillsong NYC, Hillsong Church Paris, Hillsong Church Kiev, Hillsong Church Moscow, and Hillsong Church in Los Angeles. Hillsong NYC and Hillsong LA hold their services every Sunday inside of music venues and concert halls which typically host touring secular acts. According to the church, over 100,000 people attend services each week around the world.
Hillsong also releases its own chart-topping contemporary Christian music. In 2013, its worship band Hillsong United debuted at number 5 on the Billboard 200 chart with their album Zion. They shared the Top 5 with secular acts Bruno Mars, Mumford & Sons, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
In March 2014, Hillsong United, became the first Christian act to ever top the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart. Their EDM act Hillsong Young & Free has been described as "David Guetta with a spiritual twist," and their latest release, which features Christian rapper Lecrae, already has racked up over 100,000 views in less than two weeks.
There is even a documentary about the church that will get a worldwide release in 2015 thanks to Warner Bros, although it is currently experiencing distribution problems.
Who Is Carl Lentz?
Carl Lentz is one of the main pastors at Hillsong NYC, and also the face of the Hillsong Church in the United States. The 36-year-old has appeared on Katie Couric's show, is friends with many Hollywood celebrities, including Kevin Durant and Jay-Z, and is even Justin Bieber's spiritual coach.
In his Katie Couric interview, Carl states that he doesn't like to use the term "Pentecostal" because he believes that people have a negative perception of Pentecostals. He also does not share his views on gay marriage and abortion, instead saying that he has a "stance on love" and and encourages having conversations about such topics. He believes that a public forum isn't the best place to make statements on controversial issues because it doesn't allow for discussion.
Celebrities, Athletes, And The Hillsong Church
Carl Lentz is friends with a lot of famous celebrities and athletes. Justin Bieber is probably Carl Lentz's most famous friend. They met in 2008, and Lentz has been Justin's spiritual coach ever since. It is even rumored that Carl Lentz baptized Justin Bieber last year. They have been photographed together multiple times, and were most recently seen leaving a bar in New York City a month ago.
Some other famous friends of Lentz's are Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, Jay-Z, and Vanessa Hudgens. Celebrities who have attended Hillsong services include Selena Gomez, AnnaSophia Robb, Damon Dash, and Jeremy Lin. Justin Bieber, Kendall Jenner, and Hailey Baldwin were all spotted together at Hillsong NYC back in November.

Everyone starts somewhere, and if you're an attractive actor who entered Hollywood in the late 90's - 00's, you probably made a romantic comedy. These romantic comedies were not meant to be masterpieces but they were pleasant diversions before Hollywood got so CGI & franchise heavy. This year's Academy Award nominated actors and actresses starred in some heavy shit in 2014, so let's take a look back at their earlier fluffier fare, shall we?
Just Like Heaven (2005)
Here we have 2 noms in one romantic comedy! Reese Whitherspoon & Mark Ruffalo star in a film that's everything I love about romcoms of this era: attractive people, an idealized American cityscape, and a predictable plot. This one also has enough of a supernatural element to be different but not enough to be sciencey, scary, or associated with a comic book.
Plot: Reese plays Elizabeth, a dedicated, workaholic ER doctor in her hometown of San Francisco. She works so hard she doesn’t have time for what really matters: kids & a husband! (All her female coworkers, including Rosaline Cho's minority one, agree). Working 25-straight-hours without sleep catches up with Elizabeth in a potentially deadly way when she gets in a car wreck on the way to her sister’s house. Then we meet Mark Ruffalo’s David, who apparently has a shitton of disposable income because he scores a gorgeous & sprawling (by SanFran standards) apartment on a short-term lease; apparently some weird family-issue has the owners renting it out on a month-by-month basis. David just wants to sit around all day drinking and thinking about his dead wife, but this is interrupted when Elizabeth’s pernickety ghost shows up, convinced HE'S interloping her HER home. He's awkward & messy and she's spunky & type-A, so they clash at first. They soon realize she's some kind of spirit whom only David can see, and she doesn't really remember her old life. A post-Napoleon Dynamite John Hader shows up as a hippie-mystic type, and they have to figure out why she’s trapped between worlds BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE. Oh and Elizabeth & David fall in love.
Fun Fact:Reese costarred w/ another 2015 nominee, Robert Duvall, in 2008's romcom Four Christmases.

Wedding Crashers (2005)
Plot:
Bradley Cooper’s younger, slimmer face had a role as the villain Sack in Owen Wilson & Vince Vaughn’s The Wedding Crashers, which is more comedy than romance. In the movie, Bradley’s character is a foil to Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson’s dudebro-types who enjoy crashing weddings to score free booze and one-night-stands. At one of these weddings, the guys get invited to spend a whole weekend with the wedding party. Cooper is dating and cheating on Rachels McAdam’s character, the maid-of-honor who develops a flirtation with Owen Wilson, while Vince Vaughn contends with Isla Fisher's sexpot "virgin." Bradley Cooper is perfect in this role because he’s able to be somewhat believable but still enough of a douche that we want Rachel McAdams to end up with Owen Wilson.
Fun Fact: This movie helped popularize Cooper, Isla Fisher, and the practice of wedding crashing (see also: John Travolta, Taylor Swift, LaBron James, Barak Obama, et. al.).

First Daughter (2004)
No matter what side of the political spectrum you fell in (or if you were old enough to vote), you can probably agree that Batman would make a better US president than the other choices on the 2004 ballot. Michael Keaton doesn't seem to do romantic comedies, and he plays the role of the dad/POTUS in this one.
Plot:
In First Daughter the US President's daughter Samantha is played by Katie Holmes (pre-Cruise). Samantha just wants to have a normal college experience of living in a dorm without being followed by the Secret Service & reporters & bands playing The Presidential March all the time. So her dad, Preisdent Michael Keaton, agrees to let her move away to college, but unbeknownst to her, he assigns an undercover agent to keep an eye on her. They have instant chemistry when she meets him and she thinks he's just a regular-guy RA. I remember actually gasping in the theatre when we find out he's actually Secret Service. The RA/Secret Service hottie is Marc Blucas, playing almost the same character he played in TV’s Buffy, minus the blood-dontation fetish.
Fun Fact: This movie was released around the same time as Mandy Moore’s Chasing Liberty, which probably has a similar plot but no Oscar-nominees so we’re moving on.
Romcom staples: meet-cute, end-of-second-act betrayal, heroine-crying montage.
A Good Year (2006)
Marion Cotillard co-stared with former Oscar nominee/winner Russell Crowe in this rare forgettable dud for her.
Plot:
Russell Crowe’s Max is a highly competitive financial trader (i.e. an asshole i.e. Russell Crowe) who has forgotten how to enjoy life’s quiet moments or whatever. His great-uncle dies and leaves him a small vineyard in southern France, and Max has to go back to France to try to sell it quickly so he can jet back to London and his fast paced career in finance. This turns out to be harder than he thought, and he ends up staying at the vineyard longer than planned after another potential heir shows up and Max’s morally dubious and likely subprime-mortgage-related financial antics get him suspended from work. Even though his careless aggressive driving almost kills Fanny while she’s out on a twee countryside bike ride, the two eventually fall in love, and Max also falls in love with the culture of stereotypical old-world foreigners who take life a day at a time.
Romcom staples: meet-cute, foreigners on bikes, end-of-film personality change.
Nine Months (1995)
Plot:
There was a time when Hugh Grant was king of the romantic comedy. Julianne Moore costarred with him in 1995’s Nine Months as his loving & family-oriented girlfriend Rebecca, whom he accidentally inpregnates. The problem is that Hugh Grant’s Samuel isn't ready to grow up or have responsibilities or end up like some perpetually-stressed parents he knows, played by Joan Cusak and Tom Arnold. (Remember when Joan Cusak was in every romantic comedy?) Rebecca gives Samuel about a million second chances and then she finally leaves him, since he's clearly not comitted to her and their baby. However, Samuel gets his shit together by the end of the movie, and he sells his Porche so he can buy a Dodge Caravan or some shit. Robin Williams has a cute cameo as their incompetent Russian OB-GYN.

Taylor Swift continues her evil plans of collecting friends for her use, as she tells a magazine on how she caught Sam Smith to be part of her collection. She proudly boasts that their shared love, adoration, and stanning of Ariana Grande made her love Sam Smith!
"We were front row watching watching Ariana Grande at the American Music Awards, loving her performance. We're both pretty animated when we're watching other artists," Taylor tells during an interview.
"At the end of her performance, she did some dance move that was so sexy and so cool, and at the same time, Sam and I both screamed out "YAS [GIRL] YAS!!" and then looked at each other and died laughing. I had this feeling that we'll be friends for life."

Jennifer Garner returns to her native West Virginia in PBS's A Path Appears on Monday night (February 2) to visit families enrolled in Save the Children’s Early Steps program, which introduces books and early learning to children living in poverty, and provides social and emotional support for the mothers.
Garner has held the position of Artist Ambassador with Save the Children’s US Programs for the past five years. As an Artist Ambassador, Garner brought Save the Children’s early childhood development and literacy programs to her home state, West Virginia, which she also visited with journalist Nicholas Kristof for the filming of A Path Appears. She has advocated on Capitol Hill on behalf of the organization and traveled to California’s Central Valley, Kentucky and West Virginia to see the effects of poverty first hand. Garner recently joined the global nonprofit’s board of trustees.
