    The Battle Of The Five Armies is Howard Shore’s final musical voyage to Middle-earth – concluding his work with director Peter Jackson on both The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies.

    “It’s been such an incredible experience and I’m very pleased to be able to finally release this last Hobbit film score. The connection to nature is very important to me and I think that was also my connection to Tolkien’s work,” Shore noted.

    Shore’s music for The Lord of the Rings Trilogy stands as his most towering achievement to date, garnering three Academy Awards® for his music for those films, two for Best Original Score, and one for Best Original Song. His music for The Lord of the Rings Trilogy has been performed in concerts throughout the world. In 2003, Shore conducted the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in the world premiere of The Lord of the Rings Symphony in Wellington, New Zealand.  Since then, the Symphony and The Lord of the Rings – Live to Projection concerts have been performed over 340 times by the world’s most prestigious orchestras, and has been the subject of a book by Doug Adams, The Music of The Lord of the Rings Films: A Comprehensive Account of Howard Shore’s Scores.
    Also included on the soundtrack is “The Last Goodbye,” performed by The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy star Billy Boyd, which he co-wrote with filmmakers Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens.

    “Billy is not just a wonderful actor but also an extremely accomplished singer/songwriter—we are so glad he agreed once again to share his talent with us,” the filmmakers said jointly. “We cannot imagine a more perfect voice to carry us away from the shores of Middle-earth…one last time”

    The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on WaterTower Music will be available on December 9, 2014, and is currently available for pre-order at iTunes and Amazon.

    Thoughts: I was wondering what happened to them both! Mia is adorable and flawless as always, Jesse not so much. I adore them as a couple. I like how affectionate they are. I really like Mia's outfit in the first set of pics - it's a bit wacky, but it works! Not sure if she changed mid-flight or if they had a layover somewhere. And for some reason I thought the man in the hat was her father... As for Jesse, despite the hat, it's kind of obvious that his head has been shaved for BvS (which is why I tagged this post with spoilers). So, while that's good (and spoiler-y?) for the storyline, it's not that great for his overall physical appearance, lol =/ He also needs to buy pants that fit! :P

"They basically have to go back into their past and [deal with things] they don't necessarily want to revisit," she previewed, and that's especially tough for Abbie because she'd rather not talk about her past. In fact, Abbie rather enjoys being a witness, even though it's hard, because "there's a power" to it that Abbie finds "liberating." Having to revisit and explore her troubling childhood was "a really difficult journey," both for the actress and the character.

    Pop Music Savior Rita Ora made it to record her now-#iconic lines for Band Aid 30, a collabortative racist and messy effort by white people to help fight Ebola. Chart-topping stars and iconic musicians are all gathered in London today for the recording of the new Band Aid anthem.





    Everyone have been afraid for Rita Ora not making it to the iconic recording - which includes Coldplay's Chris Martin, One Direction, Sam Smith, and Paloma Faith - since she needs to film her judging duties for BBC's The Voice. Of course, the pop princess never disappointed us, as she rushed early to London to record her lines, which allowed her to head to Salford for the The Voice filming. Bob Geldof personally requested Rita for her involvement in this track, which is an updated version of the 1984 classic "Do They Know It's Christmas?" which will be released on Monday.     Against the Sun, formerly titled Ghosts of the Pacific is the true story of a WWII pilot, bombardier, and radioman that find themselves adrift on a lifeboat without food or water after being forced to ditch their plane during a scouting mission.
