In the action-comedy The Interview, Dave Skylark (James Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show “Skylark Tonight.” When they discover that North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show, they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the two least-qualified men imaginable, to assassinate Kim Jong-un.

Jenni Rivera's been gone for more than a year and a half, but her children continue to celebrate and honor their mother on her birthday.

Ever year, Rivera's children throw her an enormous bday bash -- complete with music, lots of delicious comida and, of course, tequila! "It's a day to tell her that we love her, miss her, that we hope she's proud of what we're doing, how we are celebrating her life and legacy," her eldest daughter, Chiquis Rivera told People en Español.

The Queen of Banda would have turned 45-years-old in a few weeks on July 2. She was killed in a plane crash in December 2012, leaving behind five children.

Chiquis' siblings Jacquie, 24, and Michael, 23, as well as her half-siblings Jenicka, 17, and Johnny, 13, look forward to throwing a bittersweet birthday fiesta. "On her birthday, we always think about her with much love and with the beautiful smile that she had," Chiquis said.

"Thank all of you for still supporting her career," she continued. "Please, I ask you to keep her alive in your hearts, pray for her, and always remember she was a very happy woman."

Anderson takes part in an experiment to help understand how people live with mental illness

Mental illness often makes headlines after tragedies like last week's deadly shooting at Seattle Pacific University. A number of mental illnesses, including schizophrenia, can cause auditory hallucinations. It's important to know that only a tiny number of people who hear voices engage in violence of any kind. Anderson took part in an experiment to help people understand how others live with mental illness experience everyday. Anderson wore headphones that simulate hearing voices while trying to do everything from puzzles to simply interacting with people in the street.

Clinical psychologist Pat Deegan designed the experiment. She was diagnosed with schizophrenia as a teenager.

Can Solo Superhero Movies Survive?

It’s been an interesting year for comic book films. Captain America: The Winter Soldier has doubled the take of the The First Avenger while Spider-Man has been anything but Amazing at the US Box Office looking to take in less than the first film in the rebooted series. Then X-Men: Days of Future Past comes out and debuts big globally. Like a lot of people covering geek cinema, there is always an inherent need to understand why one thing works and another doesn’t. We are constantly prognosticating the success level of films based on the most spurious observations from trailers and marketing materials. The truth is, very few of us online have any kind of magical foresight. We look for trends, try to find commonalities, and make judgements based on a (hopefully) refined instinct.

Spider-Man is considered one of the three most iconic heroes in pop culture. Batman and Superman are the other two. So why is Marc Webb’s take on one of the most popular comic book characters floundering while second tier heroes X-Men and Captain America have succeeded in both generating critical and capital successes in 2014? All of them feature are big budget monstrosities featuring eye-popping action and mind bending special effects. All of them are based on popular comic characters, though Captain America is hardly the sales juggernaut that X-Men and Spider-Man have been. As I looked at the dynamic of these three movies, I noticed something.

I’ve written before about the ever-escalating scale of comic book movies. They continue to get bigger and bigger featuring more inconceivable sequences and packing in more and more characters in an effort to ratchet up the stakes. The Avengers proved that cramming a bunch of different superheroes into one movie has amazing potential to please fans and make fat stacks of cash. Warner Brothers is applying the formula to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. The more heroes you put into your comic book movies, the better.

X-Men has always been chock full of super heroes with a variety of personalities and personas. It’s baked into the formula. Days of Future Past managed to cram together a cast of past, present, and future mutants to up the stakes. Captain America: The Winter Soldier took Captain America and added in Black Widow, the Falcon, and Nick Fury. More heroes = More interest.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 went the more traditional route of adding more villains. A strategy that has been in play since Penguin and Catwoman teamed up in Batman Returns laying out a template of sorts that has been abused and overused ever since. Sony seems to be betting big on a higher villain count as they prepare The Amazing Spider-Man 3, The Amazing Spider-Man 4, and a Sinister Six movie. This could be a risky endeavor for Sony given the diminishing returns of their franchise.

I’m not advocating that every movie has to follow the exact same formula (god forbid), but in a landscape where every superhero movie is employing multiple super powered protagonists, Spider-Man begins to feel like the superhero movie of the past where more and more villains are shoehorned into the film to give the main character something else to punch, instead of finding more allies for him to fight escalated threats with.

Black Cat? The Flash Thompson version of Venom? Ben Reilly? Add a couple of ‘amazing friends’ to whatever roster of characters Sony has the rights to? I won’t claim to know all the answers, but in this current era of super powered team ups, Spidey might need to find a few allies if his movies are going to compete with the likes of Avengers and the Justice League.

The truth is with all these team-up movies, the solo superhero movie begins to become a riskier proposition.

Lifetime and Grumpy Cat to spread holiday cheer with Worst Christmas Ever

0
0

Christmas' new grinch is Grumpy Cat. The Internet-famous feline is getting her own Lifetime movie, titled Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever.

Tim Hill (SpongeBob SquarePants) and Jeff Morris will pen the script, about a pet-store cat that is perpetually overlooked and the 12-year-old girl who can communicate with her.

"It brings fun and irreverence that we haven't had at Lifetime," says vp original movies Arturo Interian, noting that his teenage daughters are fans of Grumpy and gave him the initial idea for the project."We're so known for our heartfelt sentimentality that it will poke fun at those stereotypes."

Lifetime is casting the voice of Grumpy for the live-action project, which will shoot this summer. The cable network said the movie, which Interian describes as "a little Home Alone and a little Die Hard," would also feature cameos from other famous Internet memes.

Grumpy -- actually named Tardar Sauce, a misspelling of the condiment, for the color of her fur -- became an Internet meme in 2012 when owner Tabatha Bundesen's brother posted a photo on Reddit. Since then, she has spawned a book, a coffee product and even a short-lived theatrical movie deal with Broken Road Productions (Here Comes the Boom).

But manager Ben Lashes -- who also works with Keyboard Cat, Success Kid and other Internet memes -- says Lifetime "is the perfect venue" for her. "When I go home for Christmas, there are movies that we always watch," he adds. "It becomes a tradition. I like that aspect of Christmas movies."

Grumpy, who spends most of her time at home in Phoenix, recently made a guest appearance on the 13th season of American Idol and had a front-row seat at the MTV Movie Awards in April. Lashes says she appears to thrive on the attention she receives while she's on the road, noting that she will be well taken care of during production on the movie."I'm sure she'll have the poshest trailer a cat has ever had on-set."

TAEYANG - 새벽한시 (1AM) M/V + Article about 'Bed Scene'

0
0

Any fan will tell you that K-pop videos typically skew more entertaining and wholesome rather than titillating and provocative. Even last year's sexiest K-pop videos were mostly labeled as such for the choreography and outfits rather than a star actually showcasing his or herself in a sexual manner.

But BIGBANG member Taeyang is changing things up with his new video for "1AM," featuring a sexually-charged "bed scene"—as it's been called in Korean reports—rarely seen in K-pop.

In the melancholy clip, the BIGBANG singer/rapper croons his way throughout a cityscape, singing about longing for a lost love—a similar theme heard in his new single "Eyes, Nose, Lips."

Taeyang and his love interest (played by South Korean actress/singer Min Hyorin) are an attractive, embattled couple who are drinking in a stylish club one moment and fighting in a convertible the next. Their climax comes in a scene catching the pair in bed, locked in a passionate, heated kiss with Hyorin suggestively spread over Taeyang as he strokes the small of her back.

The scene is quick, but effective and doesn't get too raunchy or suggestive. Taeyang joins K-pop bad boys Jay Park and B.A.P's Yongguk who, in their "Star" and "I Remember" videos respectively, got their on-camera kiss—though, not in a dark, bedroom setting. But like Taeyang, both did so with videos that had intricate plotlines rather than incorporating sex for the sake of selling sex. While Taeyang's video may get banned on conservative-skewing South Korean TV, it would be hard to criticize it from an artistic standpoint.

"1AM" is the latest visual to promote Taeyang's second full-length solo effort, "Rise." Over the weekend, Taeyang performed "Eyes, Nose, Lips" and album track "Stay With Me" on K-pop music chart program "Inkigayo."His BIGBANG bandmember G-Dragon was on hand to lay down his verses for the "Stay With Me" performance. Watch below.

Check back to Billboard.com on Thursday morning to see where "Rise" and Taeyang's singles land on the Billboard charts.

Canadian Olympic Female Hockey Player Charline Labonte comes out (sorry ONTD I added the source)

It was finally the big day. I had again managed to achieve one of my biggest goals in life: Participating in the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Sochi 2014. The facilities were built to perfection and ready to welcome thousands of Olympians - and the eyes of the world.

There are no words to describe the emotions that are felt when walking into the Olympic Stadium for the opening ceremony. I had the chance to participate in the opening ceremony four times, and each remains very different and memorable for its own reasons. However, the ceremony of the Sochi Games will probably remain my favorite. I knew that these games would be my last and I wanted to make the most of my final hurrah.

Plus, not only did I enter the stage accompanied by a red wave of talented Canadians Olympians and my best friend on the hockey team, but I was also able to have the person I love by my side - speed skater Anastasia Buscis - who was experiencing her second Winter Olympics.

It's with a lot of pride that I represented my country. After four years of full-time training it is awe-inspiring to live through these experiences with people who are dearest to me, who supported me and helped me to get there. Russia did a remarkable job, and the opening ceremonies were as powerful as the rest of the Games.

Of course, the new Russian laws, including the anti-gay "propaganda" laws, created a malaise that was felt by most people around me, gay or straight. Were we afraid? Of course! Were we in danger? No idea. We never had the intention to protest or talk about being gay. We were in Sochi for a single reason and that was to compete at the highest level of our capacities . We worked too hard to let any outside distractions separate us from our ultimate dream.

However, the idea of not being completely free during the Games left me with a bitter taste. For me, the Olympics are one of the only events where the whole world comes together, leaving aside all our differences. Instead, it is an event where everyone's differences are celebrated, admired and, above all, respected. Fortunately, everything went perfectly and all athletes were able to focus on their workouts and performances.

Fur us athletes, those Olympic performances are much more than results you see on TV. You see the final results. We e remember all the years of training and hard work that enabled us to go to the Games. For our part, the Olympic training involves an eight-month gathering in Calgary. We leave our families, friends, studies and travel sometimes across the country to focus exclusively on becoming better athletes and a better team. Our passion is our part-time work . Just like you, we work from 9 to 5 and do overtime almost every day.

We train six days a week with hours of weightlifting, yoga and on-ice practice. Of course, there is also the traveling and several hockey games in addition to this schedule every week. Many sacrifices, you say? To me, these are choices. I have never sacrificed. I would sacrifice anything to have a chance to represent my country at the Olympics. I made the choice to give me the best possible chance.

I must admit , there have been some very difficult times when I wondered if this was really worth it . However, these questions were fleeting as there was always a teammate to support me during these darkest moments. That support is what makes our Canadian hockey team beautiful. At first, we were 27 women all aspiring to the same dream. Unfortunately, we lost six of our teammates during cuts in the months before the Olympics. We had a lot of tough times, including serious injuries to our best players , including Marie-Philip Poulin who ultimately scored the winning goal in overtime against the Americans.

In addition, we suffered losses to our ultimate rival, the United States, and we were assigned a new head coach just two months before the Games. To be completely honest, it felt like things were falling apart. One thing was certain: We had 21 women who were ready to do everything to achieve our common goal. We 're not necessarily all best friends, yet we endure together and respect one another implicitly.

It's why I could always be myself with my team. I am fortunate to have been a part of the Canadian women's national hockey team for 12 years, and I never felt I couldn't be free. Just like everywhere else our team had gays and straights, just like we had brunettes and redheads. Everyone on my team has known I'm gay since I can remember and I never felt degraded for it. On the contrary, my sport and my team are the two environments where I feel most comfortable. The subject of homosexuality was never taboo with us. We talk and laugh about it like everything else. I feel privileged to live and be myself in an environment like this because I know that just a few years ago this topic was never a part of the conversations in the locker room.

This year, I was a medalist twice. I won my fourth Olympic gold medal - and I met the person of my dreams. My best friend on the team, Caroline Ouellette, is a proud ambassador for Right to Play, just like Anastasia. During one of our rare free evenings , we organized a dinner and invited Anastasia, who is also from Calgary, to join us . The spark between us was instant and undeniable. It's not always easy to find someone who can endure the life an athlete has to endure. Sometimes it is difficult to explain to non-athletes some critical facets of our lives. I realize that often only other Olympic athletes can understand us.

Olympic girlfriends Anastasia Buscis and Charline Labonté. Photo credit: Kelly Jacob | LSTW, the lesbian connection

When I met her I had been single for almost a year. The last thing I wanted was to be in a relationship. I saw only the gold medal at the end of the line and absolutely did not want to let anything distract me. However, Anastasia took me completely by surprise and I could not pass up a wonderful person like her. We did the same things, had the same goals, similar schedules and similar stress.

In late December , after a very difficult year, she also earned a ticket to Sochi. It was amazing to live this Olympic experience together. Unfortunately I could not attend the day of her competition because we had workouts at the same time. However, she was able to attend three of my games, including the final.

Following this amazing gold-medal game, we celebrated with our families and friends. Anastasia was nowhere to be found. It was almost 1am, so I figured she was just too tired to celebrate. Minutes later she returned with a big bag.

"You and your team must be so hungry," she said.

In the bag were 50 cheeseburgers and 50 packets of Chicken McNuggets. She had ridden her bike to the McDonald's in the Olympic Village! Our team played a fantastic game that night, but right then and there, Anastasia was our MVP.

We celebrated until the next morning. We had done the unthinkable in that gold-medal game. I have always had great respect for the Americans. They are a group of girls with a lot of talent, and they had a lot of success against us in the months before Sochi. Who honestly thought that we still had a chance of winning when the Americans led 2-0 with five minutes left in the game? Nobody, apart from the 21 girls who wore a maple leaf on their jerseys that night. We had so many difficult times but had always been able to get by. We had to do it once more, and we did it.

I sincerely believe that all these dark steps are why we never stopped believing in ourselves and why we were able to come back and win that game . Our coach, Kevin Dineen, trusted us and, in doing so, gave us confidence. Probably 99 out of 100 times, a team facing a 2-0 deficit late in the third will not win the game. That night, we were the exception to the rule.

Today, I remember this year with powerful emotions. I am so proud of my friends, my teammates, the staff and the team.

I am also finally proud of who I am and proud to have the courage to share who I am with you. I'm a four-time Olympian. I am the daughter of wonderful parents and the sister of a very special brother. I am friends with people who fascinate me, support me and without whom I could not live out my dreams. I am a student and I get my masters from McGill University this fall.

I am gay and proudly authentic.

Jennifer Garner Almost Never Wears Makeup Because Because It 'Feels Fake'

0
0

There was a time (not too long ago) when baby oil was more of a beach staple than sunscreen. Jennifer Garner knows what I'm talking about:

"My whole generation—I think we were all just tossed out into the sun to burn to a crisp," she told me on the phone. "I was deep brown all summer, every summer. Now I realize I’m really fair, and I never had any business being that tan."

While the low-key actress may not insist on wearing makeup every day, SPF is nonnegotiable, for her or her family.

When you’re at the beach, do you wear makeup?
"No. I almost never wear makeup unless someone is putting it on me for work. I do usually use a little concealer around my nose or under my eyes, but that’s as far as I go. I used to wear mascara every day, and I don’t know why, but it feels fake or something. I’ve just grown out of it."

So I guess it's fair to say you aren't exactly a beauty junkie?
"I’m not someone who should be in a beauty spotlight. I was one of those people who wore pajamas to class every day in college, and I would still be that way if I could! I’m in New Balance sneakers every day. I try not to be because I get made fun of by my husband and friends, but it’s not natural for me to think about how I look on a daily basis. So I’m kind of my own walking beauty disaster.

That's pretty hard to believe when we see pictures of you on the red carpet.
"I have grown to love nice clothes and looking nice. I’ve been exposed to such a level of fashion and design that I have no right to wear, and I have to say, I’ve grown to reeeeaalllly like them. When it comes to the red carpet, I’m all in."

Trucker in Tracy Morgan crash pleads not guilty amid sleep-deprivation reports

(CNN) -- The driver of a truck that plowed into a bus carrying comedian Tracy Morgan pleaded not guilty during his arraignment Wednesday amid accusations he had not slept for 24 hours before the crash.

Kevin Roper did not say much during his arraignment before Middlesex County Superior Court Judge Bradley Ferencz in New Jersey.

"Let me just give you a caution, sir," the judge told the defendant. "You make sure your lawyer knows exactly where you are. You go anywhere, you drive anywhere, you go across country somewhere else, you need to be in contact. You understand that?"

"Yes sir," Roper responded.

Prosecutors charged him with vehicular homicide and assault by auto in the Saturday pileup that killed comedian James McNair and injured Morgan and three others in the limo bus on the New Jersey Turnpike.

"We enter a not guilty plea across the board obviously -- the fatality and the remaining counts of assault by auto," defense lawyer David Glassman told the court.

Morgan, a former cast member of "Saturday Night Live" and the comedy series "30 Rock," remains in critical but stable condition. Comedian Ardie Fuqua, Jeffrey Millea and Harris Stanton were also injured; Stanton is the only one who has been released from the hospital.

Shortly after the accident on the New Jersey Turnpike, Roper, who drives a Walmart truck, posted $50,000 bond and was released the same night. The bail was kept the same.

In the criminal complaint, police said Roper had been awake for more than 24 hours at the time of the crash. He failed to notice traffic slowing in front of him and hit Morgan's bus despite trying to swerve out of the way, according to authorities.

It's unclear how they determined the trucker was sleep-deprived.

Walmart said it believed Roper was operating within federal rest guidelines but said it would take full responsibility if the investigation shows its truck was to blame. Federal law mandates drivers work no more than 14 hours for any shift -- 11 of those driving.

"The details are the subject of the ongoing investigation and we are cooperating fully with the appropriate law enforcement agencies," said Brooke Buchanan, a spokeswoman for Walmart.

Under New Jersey law, a driver can be convicted if there's proof he had been without sleep for 24 hours when the accident occurred.

Proving he was sleep-deprived is crucial to get a conviction, in this case five to 10 years, legal analyst Paul Callan said on CNN's "Erin Burnett OutFront."

"It's very important because otherwise, it's just an ordinary accident," he said. "Anybody can have an ordinary accident; we don't take them off in handcuffs. In New Jersey, because it is so dependent on these big roads, sleep deprivation has been recognized as a form of recklessness and it's criminal."

However, Callan said, proving the trucker was sleep-deprived will be the difficult part.

Tracy Morgan's estranged mom complains about access to her son

As if the weekend crash involving Tracy Morgan weren't awful enough on its own, there may have been some family drama surrounding the comic's hospitalization as well.

Alicia Warden, Morgan's estranged mother, told TMZ on Tuesday that her son's fiancee, Megan Wollover, had turned her away from his hospital room on Saturday. Warden told the site she'd learned about the early-morning accident from TV news.

She said she was allowed in for about five minutes Sunday when Morgan, 45, was unconscious. "I wanted to pray over him and couldn’t do that because so many people were in the room," she told TMZ.

Discord between mother and son is not new: Morgan said in 2012 that he hadn't seen his mother in 11 years. At the time, Warden had alleged to the New York Daily News that she was facing foreclosure over a $25,000 debt and was getting no help from her successful son.

In a statement issued at the time, the "SNL" and "30 Rock" alum blamed the rift on "reasons that are between us," adding that, "We all have personal family issues that we have to deal with in life, but I choose to deal with mine in private and not through the media."

On Saturday, Morgan, his assistant Jeffrey Millea and fellow comic Artie Fuqua were critically injured and comic James "Jimmy Mack" McNair was killed when a semi hit their chauffered Mercedes van, flipping it and setting off a chain reaction that involved several other vehicles. They were coming home from a Friday-night gig at a casino in Delaware.

Morgan and Wollover, who welcomed baby girl Maven together last July, have been engaged since early in 2011. He also has three sons from his first marriage.

"My [heart] goes out to all the family and friends that were also in the car accident along with my fiancé #TracyMorgan. Pls pray4 full recoveries," Wollover tweeted Monday.

On Facebook, she thanked fans for their "outpour of support," wished well for Millea and Fuqua and expressed sadness over McNair's death. "[Y]ou will truly be missed," she wrote. "You have always been someone very special to Tracy and all of us, and the world will not be the same without you."

Candis Cayne Will Keep On Saying Tranny Whether You Like It Or Not!

0
0

If your Facebook feed looks anything like ours, you’ve well realized by now that everyone and their drag mothers have a stance on the great “tranny” debate of 2014, but unless you have a personal stake in the discussion, all those opinionated voices end up sounding like that noise you used to have to endure when dialing on to AOL in the ’90s.

Which is why Candis decided to join the conversation during a recent interview promoting her new film Crazy Bitches, we were apt to listen. The actress has been a public figure of the trans community since the mid-’90s, gaining mainstream success on Nip/Tuck and Dirty Sexy Money.

Here’s her take:“There’s no transphobic anything [on Drag Race]. There’s a group of people who don’t like certain words and now everyone has to change their lives around it. The word ‘she-male,’ if someone called me that, I’d be irritated, but I’m not going to change a whole segment of a television show that’s about drag because they used it.”

Cayne went on to defend the Drag Race team even more:“These are a group of guys who do so much for the gay community, the trans community, the drag community.”

And noted how she feels context is everything:“To me, it’s not a serious show. It’s a fun, whimsical competition. I believe words mean something with intention. I don’t believe the word ‘tranny’ is ‘wrong.’ I don’t believe the word ‘she-male’ is that tasteful — it’s not something I would use — but I don’t see why there’s such an uproar about it.”

Recalling the days when being trans meant flying under the radar as much as possible, she said:“We weren’t allowed to be [trans], but we all called each other ‘tranny.’ A new, young activist isn’t going to tell me I can’t use that word. That’s how I feel.”

TRAGEDY STRIKES! Fox Pulls ‘I Wanna Marry Harry’ From Schedule

0
0

After a few weeks of miniscule ratings, Fox is pulling alternative series “I Wanna Marry Harry” and “Riot” from its Tuesday lineup. The shows will be replaced by encores of Fox comedies “Family Guy,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “New Girl” and “The Mindy Project,” effective next week.

Unaired episodes of “I Wanna Marry Harry” will be made available for early preview on Fox.com, Fox On Demand, FOX NOW and Hulu, starting tomorrow afternoon. Fox said it’s also looking for a spot on the sked to air the shows on the network at a later date.

Fox had high hopes for “I Wanna Marry Harry,” in which a dozen American women believe they are competing for the affections of Prince Harry (when in reality, it’s a Prince Harry look-alike). It scheduled its premiere to air immediately after the final “American Idol” performance episode of the season. But that May 20 premiere did a mere 0.7 rating/2 share in adults 18-49 and 1.91 million total viewers, according to Nielsen.

On Tuesday of this week, both “Harry” and “Riot” did a 0.4 rating/1 share in 18-49, with the former drawing less than 1 million viewers and the latter pulling in about 1.1 million. No original series on one of the Big Four networks has ever rated lower.

Andrew Rannells to Replace Neil Patrick Harris in Hedwig

0
0

Tony nominee Andrew Rannells has some high heels to fill as he takes over from Tony winner Neil Patrick Harris in John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask's Tony-winning revival of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Rannells will play a limited engagement August 20 through October 12 at Broadway's Belasco Theatre. Harris' last show is set for August 17.

Rannells received a Tony nod for his performance as Elder Price in The Book of Mormon. He’s also appeared on the Great White Way in Jersey Boys and Hairspray. His screen credits include Girls, The New Normal and Bachelorette. Rannells played Hedwig in another production back in 2001 and in 2011 sang "The Origin of Love," below, at Joe’s Pub.

Directed by Michael Mayer, Hedwig and the Angry Inch tells the story of a fictional rock ‘n’ roll band, fronted by Hedwig (Harris), a transgender woman from communist East Berlin. Drag queen Adore Delano has brought the "Party" to Billboard's charts.

The "RuPaul's Drag Race" contestant sees his "Till Death Do Us Party" album log the biggest sales week of any "Drag Race" competitor, as the set debuts with 5,000 copies sold in the week ending June 8, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

"Party" debuts at No. 3 on the Dance/Electronic Albums chart and at No. 59 on the Billboard 200.

While not every contestant of "Drag Race" is also a musician, a fair number of them have released commercially-available songs and albums -- including all seven of the shows winners (six regular season champs, plus an "All Stars" winner). Previously, the biggest sales week for a single or album by a "Drag" competitor was in 2013, when Willam's "Boy Is A Bottom" song debuted with just over 3,000 downloads sold.

Delano also debuts on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart with "I Adore U," popping on at No. 49. It sold 4,000 downloads in its first week (ending June 8) and additionally bows at No. 34 on Dance/Electronic Digital Songs.

Here's a look at all of the show's contestants that have notched a Billboard hit:

Season One:

  • Nina Flowers: Ranny's "Loca," featuring Flowers - No. 15 on Dance Club Songs, 2010

Season Two:

  • Sahara Davenport: "Go Off" - No. 35 on Dance Club Songs, 2012

  • Jessica Wild: Ranny's "You Like It Wild," featuring Wild - No. 30 on Dance Club Songs, 2011

Season Three:

  • Raja: "Diamond Crowned Queen" - No. 35 on Dance Club Songs, 2011

Season Four:

  • Willam: Has charted five entries on the Comedy Digital Songs chart thanks to parody singles of popular hits. In 2012, "Chow Down" (featuring Vicky Vox & Detox) and "Love You Like a Big Schlong" reached Nos. 12 and 25, respectively. The following year "Boy Is a Bottom" (featuring Detox and Vox) hit No. 6, "RuPaulogize" (featuring Sharon Needles) reached No. 14 and the "Blurred Lines" spoof "Blurred Bynes" (again with Detox and Vox) hit No. 5.

  • Sharon Needles: The album "PG-13" reached No. 9 on the Dance/Electronic Albums chart, and also hit No. 186 on the Billboard 200. Needles also charted an entry on the Comedy Digital Songs chart with "RuPaulogize" (see Willam, above).

Season Five:

  • Detox: Has charted three entries, with Willam (see above).

Season Six:

  • Adore Delano (see above).

Rene Angelil is stepping down as manager of wife Celine Dion, making way for veteran live entertainment exec Aldo Giampaolo to steer her career.

Giampaolo, a former head of Cirque du Soleil's business unit, has been named CEO of Feeling Productions, which oversees Dion's career from Las Vegas.

"Considering our long-standing friendship, our mutual respect, and our past collaborations, this was a logical step for all of us," said Angelil in a statement.

Angelil, who discovered Dion and led her to global stardom, will remain with Feeling Productions as chairman as Giampaolo moves his family to Las Vegas to take control of the company starting in August.

"I am extremely touched and honored to be offered this new challenge, and I see it as a continuation of the close working relationship that Rene and I have enjoyed for the past 25 years," said Giampaolo in his own statement.

Every fashion writer (and Justin Timberlake) said it best: what goes around comes back around, especially when it comes to style.

We started to see the return of these two-strap denim wonders made popular in the '90s (and '10s, and '40s, and '70s) just a few months ago, and now they're officially a celebrity obsession (which means the mass audience will soon follow). From Gwen Stefani and Blake Lively to Rihanna and even Robin Roberts, the trend has landed.

Police Hunting For Diane Kruger Bomb Scare Suspect

Police are hunting for an obsessed fan who targeted Hollywood actress Diane Kruger and sparked a bomb scare by sending her a suspicious package.
The Inglourious Basterds star has revealed the drama began earlier this year when a strange parcel arrived at the home of her grandfather in Germany.

She tells Britain’s The Times newspaper, “My grandfather misunderstood and thought it was a present from me. It was some chocolates and a locked metal box with a message saying, ‘The key will arrive in Hollywood in March’. Grandpa was like, ‘Can I at least eat the chocolates since you’re not coming home?’ and I was like, ‘Do not eat the f**king chocolates!’”

The box was forwarded to her address in the U.S. and Kruger’s boyfriend, actor Joshua Jackson, broke it open and discovered what he feared could have been a makeshift bomb.
She adds, “A cellphone was wired to the lock and the minute it opened, it turned on. It was like a bad movie. Josh threw it away thinking a bomb was going to go off, but I think it was just some crazy, weird fan who was going to call me.”

Kruger goes on to explain the story took an unexpected twist when security guards later apprehended a man at the Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles after he allegedly attempted to gain access to the event to hand the actress a key bearing her name and home address.
The incident sparked a police hunt, which turned up security footage of the same unknown man ringing the doorbell at the star’s home.
She adds, “Three detectives showed up at my house at three in the morning… They’re still trying to find the man.”
