Howard Stern Dresses In Drag for His Christmas Card!

0
0
Leave it to Howard Stern to go untraditional when it comes to the traditional.

The shock jock lives up to his moniker by going as Santa's little helper for his Christmas card, but he's not your ordinary elf.

The America's Got Talent judge donned a black wig, heels, stockings and a sexy fur-trimmed shoulder-baring dress and matching hat to sit on Santa's lap. And if he… we mean she... looks familiar, behind St. Nick's white beard is actually Stern’s wife, Beth Otrosky.

But the Sterns ditched the blush, lipstick, mascara and Santa outfit (but kept the festive hats!) for a jolly good laugh over their silly snapshot: "Peace and love," the couple wrote on Twitter.

THE BEST INTERVIEW EVER feat. Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Liam Payne

Nikita: Maggie Q, Devon Sawa & More On How They Felt Before Shooting The Final 2 Episodes

0
0

There are just two episodes left of The CW’s “Nikita,” and it was precisely at this point in the filming process when AccessHollywood.com visited the Toronto set of the show, courtesy of Warner Bros., where the cast was getting used to the idea of saying goodbye.

It was a warm September day in Toronto as the cast began preparations for filming Season 4’s penultimate episode. Emotions were starting to set in for the cast, but everyone was determined to make those last two episodes powerful.

Maggie Q was in high demand on the day, her interview with Access and other reporters delayed as she filmed a newly-inserted scene for the show. Sitting on the team’s plane set during a break, she reflected on how she was feeling about being so close to wrapping things up.

“I’m super sad. There’s like no question [of that],” Maggie said, when Access asked about her emotions. “I’m really fulfilled in terms of where the character’s going, but these people, I mean, this is my family… and it’s just a weird feeling to not have them in my life all of a sudden, just like that. That’s the weird thing and the beautiful thing about this industry is that you make this family in this intense amount of time and you get really close because that amount of time is so intense and then it goes away. We’re having a hard time, me and sort of my core team of people that I’m with all the time — my makeup and my hair and some of the PAs — we’re very sort of like, they keep talking about it. I’m like, ‘Ahhhh!’ … I’m having a tattoo artist come tomorrow to my trailer and there’s a bunch of us who’ve been here for the four years, from the beginning, and we’re just getting a tiny little something that I designed.

“It’s just like in the shape of pyramid,” Maggie added, when asked about the design. “But it’s just a symbol of the years we’ve been together and stuff.”

Devon Sawa, who plays Sam (formerly Owen), explained his reaction to knowing the end was so near.

“It’s sad. I love all these people here. I love Toronto, but I know I’m gonna be back to Toronto,” Devon said. “We’re all gonna go off and do something else and we’ll keep in touch. We’re just glad we got six [episodes] ‘cause there was a lot of talk about not getting anything at all because of [The] CW doing this whole big push of new stuff this year, so they were really cool giving us six to kind of wrap it up and we’ve wrapped everything up and we’ve also created this six part like miniseries that’s kind of cool.”

Noah Bean, who plays Ryan Fletcher, told reporters he had a little moment of reflection while on a routine journey with his castmates.

“I was riding in the van with Aaron [Stanford] and Shane [West] yesterday. We were shooting up in Hamilton which is about an hour outside of the city where we shoot a lot of stuff and it was the first time where I started to get a little like, ‘Oh man!’ … I was getting a little sentimental,” he said, while speaking with reporters inside The Shop’s lair.

“It’s been great,” he added. “It’s a good group and everybody’s been having a blast.

Lyndsy Fonseca, who plays Alex, said she was ready for the tears to flow when they began shooting her final scenes.

“I think on my last day, I’m gonna cry for sure, but I’m also really excited for everyone and myself to really just go on and do something different,” she said.

For Melinda Clarke, who plays Amanda, she was already reflecting on how much she learned from being part of such an action-packed show.

“It really was a challenging character and a challenging show and it taught me a hell of a lot, because compared to ‘The O.C.,’ which was just so much fun all the time, this one… it’s like you understand… ‘Oh, this is why people run marathons,’ because at the end of it it’s a sense of like accomplishment. Doing this show, to me, is like really challenging yourself to push yourself,” she said.

“Nikita” continues tonight at 9/8c on The CW and concludes next week, on December 27.

Brody Jenner Talks Harry Styles, Says Kendall Jenner "Will Be Doing the Heartbreaking"

Watch out Harry Styles! It appears Kendall Jenner is quite the heartbreaker.
That is, according to her half-brother Brody Jenner.
When asked about the 18-year-old model's relationship with the One Direction singer (and his reputation as a heartbreaker), Brody told New York Daily News. "I hate to tell you this, but Kendall will be doing the heartbreaking."
"I'm sure she's having a fun time with him," he added. "She has a very level head, great head on her shoulders. But they are both so young."

Kendall and Harry have been spotted hanging out in the likes of London and New York City as of late, with the duo spending some time together across the pond after having a "blast" at popular gay bar Therapy in New York City recently.

Both the boy-bander and the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star have played coy about their relationship with Kendall saying, "We're friends. He's cool," when she attended the 2013 American Music Awards last month.

Harry has also stayed mum when Piers Morgan asked him if he's dating the brunette beauty, saying, "I mean, we went out for dinner, but no, I guess," referring to a dinner date in which they were spotted leaving Craig's restaurant in West Hollywood, Calif., on Nov. 20.

Meanwhile, Kendall kicked off her holidays with a hike Sunday morning, posting a stunning shot of herself on Instagram striking a yoga post atop a cliff overlooking the ocean.

Speaking of the holidays, Kris Jenner played mum when asked if Harry would be attending their annual Jenner-Kardashian Christmas party, saying, "I do not know who's coming to that party right now, but it'll be fun. Friends and family."

2014 Celebrity Psychic Predictions

CHRISTIAN DION
The Seer's 2014 Predictions
Were written while staying
by
Cayuga Lake
Upstate New York,
just down the road from the entrance to
The Twilight Zone.
(Completed Dec 19th 2013)

When Jimmy Fallon goes to the Tonight Show, he will be an amazing success, (given time). Good year for Kimmel. Not so good for Conan. Leno, on his Way out, but not without a fight. It's going to be really tough for Seth Meyers, but I do think in the end will be ok.

Robert Pattinson.
A really good year for him, in fact his best yet, both professionally and personally.

Kristen Stewart
Well before I fall on the floor laughing, she's just going to get even worse.

Jon Hamm.
His year for an Emmy.

Kate Winslet
Career wise great year, Romance was not good

Leo DiCaprio
It's very good year for him professionally, personally very up-and-down.

Lady Gaga.
Both personally and professionally her best year yet.

Lindsey Lohan
Is writing a tell-all book know she could write mind you I didn't know she could write, it's going to be a lousy year altogether for her. Has decided to return to the music studio. God help us. It'll flop. Plus she'll be back in front of a Judge in 2014. But this time she won't be so lucky.

John Mayer.
Back on top professionally, thank goodness. Even personally great year.

Ryan Gosling
So broken up from Eva Mendes at the moment, but they'll be back together! Then engaged.

Angelina Jolie Brad Pitt.
I see a really bad year for these two including a break up.

Kendall & Kylie Jenner.
More of the same bad behaviour from these two, in fact one of them I think will land up in prison.

Kardashians.
Believe it or not, this year sees the beginning of the end for the trailer trash morons.

Oprah.
At last gets the opportunity to get her new channel back on firm footing and once again take a seat on the throne as queen of all media.

Beyonce
Bit of a disaster all round for Beyoncé to be honest in 2014 including 2015.

David Bowie
Some kind of personal drama which comes out of the blue, plus some kind of tour.

Rihanna
A year of very high highs and very low lows is 2014 for Rhianna.

Justin Timberlake.
Just more success for JT in 2014

Britney Spears.
Well they do say what happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas but I'm afraid Britney Spears won't be staying in Las Vegas.

Ashton Kutcher
Let's pray doesn't marry his current girlfriend because it's going to be a complete bloody disaster.

Bill Clinton.
Is the year for Bill supporting his wife as she decides to run for the next President of the United States.

Hilary Clinton.
This is the year that Hillary announces that she will run for the next President of the United States of America and yes, I want to remind you, I have said that for along time.

President Obama
He's going to get his MoJo back and surprise everyone. Security however needs to be tightened.

America
Is in for a rough time due to a couple of terrorist attacks that we will hear of, (many more attempts that we won't hear of). One really major one.

US Government
Troubling year ahead for the US government especially keyed to the Snowden thing which is only going to get worse.

South Africa /Cape Town
Now that Nelson Mandela has sadly passed away, this whole country is going to be sent into complete chaos over the coming months.

Winter Olympics
A complete mess. All kinds of protests which will lead to some not surviving. These Olympics really should not be taking place considering the recent behavior of Putin and his gang. I also sense something to do with a terrorist attack during these Olympics which some will believe to be a false flag event.

UFO's
Any more sightings this year including a very clear televised one leading to a government admission. A connection to the Space Station and those on board.

Aliens
They are watching us and can't believe how badly behave towards each other we are.

Energy/fuel
This year will bring a new fuel source to light. Leading to a very cheap and available fuel to all in the future.

Bill O'Rielly
Finally the end of the line for this idiot moron has even Fox can't deal with him anymore and fire him.

Pope
I must admit that the cover of Time magazine did appeal to my warped sense of humour in the fact that the Pope appear to have a set of horns. Also seems like most of the people are being convinced by his nice behavior-don't fall for it. He's going to start the cleaning inside the Vatican, that will make the inquisition look like a tea party.

Scientology.
At last, finally, the year that this "Cult" begins to fall apart from the inside out.

Prince Charles.
Is in a very upsetting year and is going to be doing a lot of sulking.

QE2.
She needs to start taking real care of herself and planning for the future in the very short term.

William and Kate
A great year and toward the end of this year and the beginning of next one the new baby, announced. Little girl.

Prince Harry
Royal Engagement, Cressida Bonas.

Simon Cowell
True Simon Cowell is going to have a baby this year with his quote unquote girlfriend. But he thinks he's in for an easy ride in that relationship is very much mistaken. She's going to cheat on him because that's what she is a cheater.

Meryl Streep
I see lots of awards in 2014 including an Oscar.

Daniel Radcliffe.
Professionally a really brilliant year. But personally he needs to take check of his life. Otherwise he's going to fall into a very bad place. Due partly to mixing with the wrong crowd, and the wrong things.

Jlo
Well a year of awakening for her. First she'll realised that her "boyfriend" isn't what she seems to think he is. She sees that he is the scam artist he is. She will also rearrange her management team to get her back on top, where she belongs. So let's hope she takes notice. 2015 is when she finds her true love.

London.
Will suffer a terrorist attack, I am sad to say. Bringing terrible and widespread hurt and mayhem. Maybe if those in power see this, it could be avoided. I can only try. Which is why I have decided to make this prediction public.

Justin Bieber.
Promised to retire recently, but sadly it's not true. I do however see him having a really terrible year. With a bit of luck will be locked up.

Taylor Swift.
Time for her to fall off her perch, this year. Mind you'll she'll still be making a fortune from her scribbling.

Kourtney Kardashian & Scott "IsDick" Disick.
At last the year this horrible couple part ways. He'll completely fall apart, which is going to be fabulous.

Hugh Jackman.
Is in for a great year professionally a couple of wonderful awards. However personally not so good, including the telling of a secret, that once told will bring him great peace. But the way it's told will cause major embarrassment.

The Veil.
Some may not ever understand this but here goes. The Veil between this World on which we all live. Is going to get very thin over the coming year and beyond. Which will lead to more and more people being able to sense other Worldly things. It's going to be very interesting as well as a little frightening to some.

Duck Dynasty.
So as I write these predictions. The patriarch spewed all that homophobic BS. Oh more trouble to come. But here's something to think about. Look at re runs of " I Love Lucy " then watch Duck Dynasty, you may begin to believe that they are the same.

Lady Gaga.
You would think this Diva couldn't get any higher. But in 2014 she will-especially professionally. But even higher on the romantic front, ding dong....

Adele.
She returns to the music scene with her biggest album yet. Plus a wedding.

Nike unveils Team USA's medal stand apparel for Sochi 2014

0
0

U.S. Olympians going for the gold will be outfitted in silver and green this February says Nike, which revealed its Sochi Olympics medal stand looks on Friday.

At each individual event medal ceremony, U.S. bronze, silver and gold medalists will wear Nike's Aeroloft 800 Summit Jacket, which keeps wearers warm with Aeroloft insulation – an 800-fill goose down based on body mapping research for mobility in the right places – and features a Team USA badge, Nike logo and USA insignia of a lenticular fabric that shifts from blue to red.

They’ll also wear a winterized version of the Nike Flyknit Chukka, equipped with a synthetic wool lining and water-resistant reflective skin.

Both items include “Land of the Free” and “Home of the Brave” sayings secretly embroidered in the hand pockets, and tonal stars on the interior front of the jacket and on the sock liner of the shoes– which act as a nod to legendary U.S. hockey coach Herb Brooks’ “This is Your Moment” speech.

The Portland-based sportswear behemoth also revealed its Team USA training and village apparel and footwear. We personally love the Nike Tech Fleece Cape with a dropped back hem for women (a leather-sleeved version is also available), and the 3.0 Hoodie for men.

Other favorites from the collection are the flag-printed Victory Gloves and the Nike Shield Flash Jacket to combat wind and water.

However, Nike's newest items, featuring innovative features and slick athletic designs, come at a higher price than Olympic gear fans may be used to."We are very focused on the premium aspects of our brand and our product lines," said Nike CEO Mark Parker on a conference call, reports Businessweek. "And as we bring new innovations to the market, we’re definitely trying to use those to help move margins higher."

If you think the rising prices live up to the competition, nab your own training and village picks from Nike.com now, and score the medal stand looks in 2014 (summit jacket in January; trainers in February).

We're Getting a RomCom About Abortion Starring Jenny Slate

0

A full-length romantic comedy about a woman who gets an abortion is set to debut, starring Jenny Slate.

Feministing is reporting the 2009 short film Obvious Child which starred Slate has gotten the full-length treatment and will debut at the Sundance Gifting Suite Film Festival next month:

OBVIOUS CHILD is an honest comedy about what happens when Brooklyn comedian Donna Stern (Jenny Slate) gets dumped, fired and pregnant just in time for the worst/best Valentine's Day of her life. Forever nudged by her parents to make better choices, Donna's forced to do just that when a one-night stand leads to a difficult decision that does and does not define the rest of her life. Though confident in her choice, Donna must gain the confidence to believe in her talent, herself, and the best in those around her, especially one surprisingly decent guy (Jake Lacy) who just might make this the worst/best Valentine's Day ever.

Filmmaker Gillian Robespierre said they were motivated to make the original film because of "limited representations of young women's experience with pregnancy, let alone growing up.":

We were waiting to see a more honest film, or at least, a story that was closer to many of the stories we knew. We weren't sure how long that wait was going to be, so we decided to tell the story ourselves.

Excited about the idea? You can donate to the film's Kickstarter to help them with associated costs. Hey, for $500, Slate will record a voicemail for you as Marcel the Shell. BARGAIN.

Michael Lohan to Dina: Don't talk smack about me and Lindsay, or I'll sue

0
0

Lindsay Lohan's new tell-all book project has a new wrinkle ... if she tells all she'll end up smack in the middle of a lawsuit between her mom and her dad.

Michael Lohan believes when it comes to writing about Lindsay's childhood, Dina Lohan will tell her daughter defamatory stories about Michael.

So we've learned Michael's lawyer just sent a threatening letter to Dina, reminding her about the gag order which was imposed in their divorce ... the gag order which states, ""The wife shall not, directly or indirectly, publish, or cause to be published, any diary, memoir, letter, story" blah blah blah involving her marriage to Michael.

As we reported, Michael has already warned Dina not to trash talk him in Dina's own tell-all book.

The Lohan's have a lot to tell, if they tell the truth.

So we gotta ask -- most honest storyteller?

Bye Sister Wives! TLC gives full season order to cute polygamist with five wives & twenty-four kids!

0
0

TLC has announced it will air a full series about progressive polygamist Brady Williams and his family from Utah that starred in a one-hour pilot earlier this year.

The cable TV network said it will produce nine, one-hour episodes about Brady Williams and his five wives and 24 children. The first episode is set to debut March 9. A federal judge in Utah last week struck down key parts of the state's polygamy laws, saying a provision that forbids cohabitation violates the First Amendment.

The ruling decriminalizes polygamy, making only bigamy — holding marriage licenses with multiple partners - illegal.

The lawsuit was brought by TLC star Kody Brown and his four wives, the stars of TLC's show Sister Wives, and the trailblazers for polygamous families on reality TV. The Browns sued in July 2011 and fled Utah for Las Vegas last year under the threat of prosecution.

Brady Williams told The Associated Press earlier this week that the ruling was a momentous for him and others with multiple wives. 'There is no threat over our heads now,' Williams said. 'It's a first step in the right direction toward the de-marginalization of polygamists.'

Brady

Brady was born into the Mormon Church, but until age 16, he had never heard of polygamy. At that time, his parents converted to a faith that embraced the lifestyle. Until the age of 34, he grew as a church leader before he and his family decided to break away.

Currently, Brady works as a project manager at his brother's construction business while also pursuing a degree in philosophy at the local college.

Paulie (Wife #1)

Paulie and Brady have been married for 21 years and have six children, ranging in ages from 20 to nine years old. She was raised in a polygamist family and expected Brady to have additional wives, but she is also proud of her oldest daughter, who is recently married and plans a monogamous lifestyle.

Paulie works as a dental hygienist.

Robyn (Wife #2)

Robyn and Brady have been married for 20 years and have five children, ranging in ages from 19 to nine years old. Married about nine months after Paulie, Robyn also grew up in a polygamous home and expected to be a plural wife.

Dubbed by the family as the "creative" wife, Robyn has taken a few art classes and loves making handmade gifts for her large family.

Rosemary (Wife #3)

Rosemary and Brady have been married for 18 years and have four children, ranging in ages from 17 to 11 years old. Rosemary used to work for the family construction business but stopped after winning a scholarship at the local college.

She is studying for her teaching degree in music and biology and is particularly passionate about composing.

Nonie (Wife #4)

Nonie and Brady have been married for 15 years and have five children, ranging in ages from 14 to four years old. Nonie was living in Montana when she first met Brady, and the two had a brief long-distance courtship before they got engaged.

She currently handles the administrative side of the family's construction business and is the only wife that works with Brady on a steady basis.

Rhonda (Wife #5)

Rhonda and Brady have been married for 12 years and have four kids, ranging in ages from 13 to two years old. Rhonda, who is Robyn's cousin, loves to work outside the home and is now a medical assistant. Despite their immediate bond, she confesses it still took eight years before she really felt like she belonged in the family.

While Rhonda says there are downsides to polygamy, she loves that her kids always have other mothers around that love them.

The Year In Pop: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Lorde Take On The One Percent

0
0

macklemore-ryan-lewis-lorde-650-430

Has hating the upper class ever been so cool in pop music? With America in post-"Occupy" mode, the middle class remains constantly suspicious of the wealthy. And for the most part, mainstream music fans didn't want to hear about the lifestyles of the rich and famous; the Rich Kids of Instagram were met with eye-rolls, and most envy was hidden instead of amplified. Instead of being told to throw some D's on a new Cadillac, listeners wanted to hear about the ridiculousness of spending 50 dollars on a t-shirt.

A pair of year-defining singles -- Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Thrift Shop" and Lorde's "Royals" -- mostly made their hay by railing against consumerism in a manner that included everyone, except for the one percent. Both rallying cries came from previously unheard voices, granting them a shimmering aura of authenticity. All this fury wasn't coming from a bottle-poppin' rapper or a bankable pop star; the masses really could believe Macklemore rocked scuzzy Goodwill sweatshirts or that Lorde counted her dollar bills amidst the rust and decay of the "torn-up town" she sings about. Sure, there were a "Suit & Tie" or two on Top 40 this year, but even those songs didn't revel in over-indulgence as much as they nodded toward an era of music that is no longer at the forefront of pop culture. The most surprising part of Macklemore's pro-DIY lecture on "Thrift Shop" is how unwarranted it felt within the context of modern hip-hop: wealth is still a talking point, but between Drake's soul-searching, Kanye's race talk, Eminem's devotion to the game and Kendrick Lamar's search for street-life meaning, the shiny-suit era is clearly long gone.

The Internet scrutiny of "Thrift Shop" and "Royals" followed each of their respective successes, of course. Meme makers quibbled over the non-thrift store prices Macklemore charged for merch on tour. For Lorde, the singer's background came into question. The New Zealander was certainly born into a family of cultural capital, her hometown of Takapuna is one of Auckland's wealthiest suburbs and the school she attends is highly affluent. If Lorde isn't royal, some argued, then who is?

Both stars were called out for their alleged misunderstanding of the materialistic hip-hop culture they were criticizing -- but if a hip-hop musician comes from an underprivileged background and dreams of wealth, who can blame them? "Around the middle of last year I started listening to a lot of rap, like Nicki Minaj and Drake, as well as pop singers like Lana Del Rey," Lorde told Interview Magazine in a 2013 story.  "They all sing about such opulence, stuff that just didn't relate to me—or anyone that I knew. I began thinking, 'How are we listening to this? It's completely irrelevant.'"

It's certainly disappointing if Lorde hears nothing but opulence when she listens to these artists, but failing to connect with American hip-hop might just make her a kid from the other side of the world. She's not just calling out hip-hop signifiers like gold teeth and Maybach -- she's mocking jet planes, islands, and the joys of  "trippin' in the bathroom." One could find any of those things by flipping on the Bravo network or following a few celebrities on Twitter.

Even if this precocious millennial isn't so poor after all, Lorde's background story is nothing new. Why was everyone suddenly so upset? Once again, the culprit seems to be our Internet-fueled self-awareness and the post-"Occupy" times we live in.

2013 still had its "Bugatti" and "Versace" songs, but people were singing along more loudly to "Thrift Shop" and "Royals" this year. The No. 1 ascensions of "Thrift Shop" and "Royals" proved that Americans want to hear different sorts of narratives -- the pendulum has not completely swung away from luxurious pop, but it is moving. Now the question is how exactly those narratives will change for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Lorde, since both artists have already transitioned from mocking superstar stylings to musical superstardom. Both artists, especially the former, have already followed up their breakout hits with further Hot 100 success. But as these 2013 poster kids accumulate not only new songs but new scrutiny into their personal lives, it will be interesting to see how much fans will hold them accountable to the manifestos that made them famous.

In 2010, M.I.A. munched on a gourmet truffle fry during a New York Times interview and the fallout from the resulting profile had many questioning her cultural validity. How could someone who can afford expensive food possibly identify as a left-wing ally of the third world? Surely one can be conscious and wealthy at the same time, but the masses that can build up (or take down) pop stars often don't think so reasonably. Macklemore and Lorde entered pop this year by connecting to fans by being convincing enough that they were just like one of them; now, they are newly minted members of the billion-dollar music industry. After all the sold-out shows and album sales, their next challenge is to maintain those connections to the masses, once it becomes increasingly obvious that being one of them is something they can no longer do.

Sons of Anarchy just finished off its sixth season, but it's never too soon to start talking about what will happen next.

Word on the street says there may be a miniseries that chronicles the beginning of the SAMCRO organization. Kurt Sutter had some welcome news for fans of the hit TV when asked about the potential for a new series.

"I've had discussions with the network about it, and I think they are open to it," he tells People Magazine. "I think there is something really interesting about the origins of the club. And to do a period piece set in the '60s, post-Vietnam could be kind of cool."

Either way, there will be no more anarchy on TV for quite some time. The seventh season is slated to arrive on FX next September. The only other option is to start the series over again and binge watch on Netflix.
