10 band members have died in a crash early on Saturday morning in a tragic accident. The incident took place on a major highway between Nuevo Laredo and Monterrey, Mexico, according to reports.
The band members' van driver may have fallen asleep, according to Mexican highway police official, Julian Ontiveros. The resulting crash killed the 10 band members from La Reyna de Monterrey, who were returning from a Friday night performance in Nuevo Laredo, as well as injuring several other people.
The band's van apparently was seen entering the wrong lane before it crashed head on with an oncoming tractor-trailer.
As well as the 10 that were killed, another five band members were also injured inside the van.
The Mexican official, although not speaking officially, confirmed that he believed that the driver of the van had likely fallen asleep. He added that in the crash several of the band members were flung through the van windows onto the roadside.
The three lane highway was closed by authorities as the accident scene was investigated, and traffic was restricted to only one lane as emergency services attended to the injured and dead.
The Facebook page of band La Reyna de Monterrey has become a page where mourning fans left messages of condolence for those killed, and expressed messages of support to family members of those killed and injured in the horrific crash.
One message read, "It is a great loss. God has called them to sing with His angels."
La Reyna de Monterrey were a popular band that played the musical genre known as Banda music.
Here is a video of the band La Reyna de Monterrey performing:
Do not try and google image search their pictures. Nearly the whole first page is images from the crash. :(

Jeff Buckley and Jimmy Page cried when they met each other, a close friend of the late singer-songwriter reveals in the latest issue of Uncut.
Former Fishbone member Chris Dowd explains that the pair were so in awe of each other that their first meeting was unsurprisingly emotional.
“Jeff told me they cried,” says Dowd. “They actually cried when they met each other. Jimmy heard himself in Jeff, and Jeff was meeting his idol. Jimmy Page was the godfather of Jeff’s music. A lot of people thought Tim was the influence on Jeff, but it was really Zeppelin.
“He could play all the parts on all the songs. John Paul Jones’ basslines. Page’s guitar parts. The synthesiser intro on ‘In The Light’ – he could play it on guitar and it would sound just like it. And then he would get on the fucking drums and exactly mimic John Bonham.”
To coincide with the 20th anniversary of Buckley’s first EP, “Live At Sin-é”, the story of the guitarist’s early days in New York is told by his close friends, bandmates and industry associates.
The new issue of Uncut (dated June 2013) is out on Thursday (April 25).

Ashton Kutcher got into a violent melee with security at Stagecoach -- a country music festival in Indio, CA -- after a security guard got physical with the actor and a fan ... TMZ has learned.
According to our sources, Kutcher was in the VIP area near the stage to check out Nick 13 and Dwight Yoakam ... when a woman approached him to say hi and shake his hand. We're told when Kutcher went to greet the woman, security intervened and shoved the two of them ... and chaos ensued.
Our sources say Kutcher and the security guard went at it, each violently shoving the other. Ashton's friends had to restrain him. We're told the guard demanded that Kutcher be ejected, but Ashton left on his own.
Eyewitnesses tell TMZ ... Ashton was NOT the aggressor. They say the security guard was overzealous and out of line.
We reached out to Kutcher's rep for comment ... so far, no word back.
Miley Cyrus is all grown up.
The "Ashtrays & Heartbreaks" singer opened up in a recent interview with Elle UK, talking about everything from fiance Liam Hemsworth to the advice she gave Justin Bieber.
NEWS: Miley steps out with engagement ring and short shorts
Although she's only twenty years old, the songstress said she thinks marriage to boyfriend Liam is natural at this stage in her life. "We have a house together and dogs," Cyrus told the mag. "It just seems right to be wearing this ring and to be committed. But we keep our relationship low-key and don't talk about it any more."
And speaking of keeping her life to herself, the former Hannah Montana star said she's also shied away from sharing too much of it on Twitter.
"We were too nice to the world and gave them too much insight – into my life and my puppies and my house – and I just don't feel they get that privilege any more," Cyrus said. "Like on my Twitter, I'm much more...not conservative, but you don't see a picture of my dogs. You don't get that personal stuff any more."
It's a change she hopes fellow pop star Justin Bieber will make as well.
"I noticed he was taking all these photos of people and doing a lot of s--t, and I just grabbed him and said, ‘Just take a snapshot in your brain of this moment, so you don't forget.' I don't remember my Hannah Montana movie premiere – and my 3D movie trumped everyone's at the box office – I don't remember being there. All I remember from that night is that I stopped and got a strawberry milkshake beforehand. That's all. It's crazy. You think you're in the present but you're not."
Cyrus said these days she feels like "Rapunzel," thanks to the paparazzi.
"Rapunzel with a mohawk," that is.
sorry 2 everyone who was so desperate for them to break up :(

Head to our gallery for a look at directors in action and actors preparing their characters, collaborating on some of film’s greatest stories ever told.
Quentin Tarantino, Uma Thurman, John Travolta
Travolta on shooting the dance scene:
“Quentin recommended the Twist. And I said, ‘Well, Little Johnny Travolta won the Twist contest when I was eight years old, so I know every version. But you may add other novelty dances that were very special in the day… There was the Batman, the Hitchhiker, the Swim, as well as the Twist.’ And I showed them to him, and he loved them. I said, ‘I’ll teach Uma the steps, and when you want to see a different step, call it out.’”
Stanley Kubrick, Jack Nicholson
Kubrick on the paranormal elements of The Shining and Jack Torrance’s fractured psyche:
“For the purposes of telling the story, my view is that the paranormal is genuine. Jack’s mental state serves only to prepare him for the murder, and to temporarily mislead the audience.”

Francis Ford Coppola, Marlon Brando
Coppola’s letter to Marlon Brando in 1973 after the Streetcar Named Desire star had already turned down the part of Vito Corleone:
“At times, I try really hard to imagine what you’re like in your thoughts. I realized that you’ve been in the strange state of adoration and exhibition for 25 years now, intensely…
All I’m saying is that if you will be in this movie; I will do my very best to make it be good; and human, and express the notion that the Mafia is only a metaphor for America and capitalism, which will do anything to protect and perpetuate itself. (I will do this anyway, if you’re not in the film…but if you were in it, it would be better, and you would help me with your ideas as I work on the script.)”
Sofia Coppola, Kirsten Dunst
Coppola on casting Dunst:
“She was the one that came to mind when I was reading the Antonia Fraser biography. When they described her personality I thought this was something that Kirsten could portray. She has the bubbly, silly, not serious side, but then she has the real depth and substance for when she evolves. I felt like she had both and also that she could carry the whole film. And being German, she looks like how they described her.”

Over the years, so many celebrities, fans and critics have condemned Chris Brown and Rihanna’s on-again-off-again relationship that another one doing it normally wouldn’t be news, but considering the latest person to fire some warning shots is Brown’s own father, the words are attracting quite a bit of attention. Apparently, Clinton Brown, who split from Brown’s mother more than fifteen years ago but remains a part of the singer’s life, doesn’t understand why the two got back together and is extremely worried the romance will end in tragedy.
Here’s a portion of what Clinton told New York Daily News…
“You have to have a balance in a relationship. You have to have someone who is spontaneous and whimsical but you also have to have someone who is grounded and logical.”
Clinton says Rihanna has been nothing but sweet whenever they’ve met or interacted, but based on her behavior, it’s clear she’s a life of the party type, spontaneous and whimsical girl. Chris obviously enjoys the nightlife too, which is why he seems them as far too similar. That's why when they get together, there's a tendency for explosive fights. As for who he would like his son to be with instead, Clinton isn’t extremely picky, but he apparently was a huge fan of Jordin Sparks, who he always considered “wholesome”.
Brown and Rihanna’s numerous personal problems have been very well documented. The reasons to be skeptical or worrisome about them being together are numerous. That being said, since they are together, we all might as well root for the best. Just because a relationship has the potential to end in tragedy doesn’t mean it will end in tragedy. Fingers crossed that’s the case for these two.
As we axiously wait for season 4 of Pretty Little Liars, Actress Shay Mitchell (Emily) dishes to Wetpaint some season 4 details. It seems as if Emily may be leading the group this season as Spencer may fall back.
Wetpaint Entertainment: This contest is so amazing because you get to be a mentor for a day. How excited are you to be a mentor to a fan? Do you have anything fun planned?
Shay Mitchell: I’m so excited! Any chance you get to spend time with someone, where you could be a little, small part of their journey to reaching their dreams, is such an amazing thing. For me, it’s all about finding out what they want to do and then going from there to decide what they should do. But I’m excited to have that day for sure.
How important is it for you to be a positive role model for fans?
It’s really important to me. That’s why I love playing Emily, and I think all of the girls are each a role model for a lot of different girls because they’re each dealing with different things. For me, in my personal life, it’s amazing because high school is such a tough place. I had the worst time when I first got to high school. It was lonely, and so if I could share a little bit of my advice with someone else, that would be really amazing. I’m happy to do it.
Speaking of Pretty Little Liars, how’s filming going for Season 4?
It’s good, but it’s crazy! I keep talking to people, and they’re like, “What happened? What was in the trunk?” And I have to be so careful every single time to make sure I don’t say what’s in there. I have to keep reminding myself that they haven’t seen that part yet. Even though we’re filming Season 4, no one has seen it, so I always have to remind myself to be careful about what I say.
And there’s so many photos! Norman Buckley can’t stop tweeting behind-the-scenes pics.
Norman is the social media king. He loves it! And he’s always snapping photos. I always know what’s going on even when I’m not at work. I’m like, “What is Ashley [Benson] doing today?” And then I look at Norman’s page and it’s like, “Oh, OK. I know what she’s filming.” He’s amazing. He’s directing two episodes at the same time.
Obviously, we can’t talk about what’s in the trunk, but can you give us some scoop on Emily and Toby’s relationship in Season 4? She was his fiercest defender last season.
I don’t think Emily and Toby ever lost that friendship because she’s always been there for him, and he’s been there for her as well — despite the fact Spencer and the other girls might have thought he was bad. Emily is always going to give him the benefit of the doubt, so I feel like their relationship has always maintained that close friendship level. I hope we continue that in Season 4 because I always love shooting with Keegan [Allen]. But as far right now, there’s been a lot of scenes between Toby and Spencer, which is good because we’ll see if they continue to patch up their relationship or if things don’t go so well.
The fans are definitely going to appreciate the Spoby scenes, but what about Paige and Emily? Can we expect more Paily scenes in Season 4?
Yes! There is! We actually had such a fun day the other day. We got back in the pool. I can’t say what happens, but it was really fun because last season, Lindsey [Shaw] and I took swimming lessons on set. This coach taught us how do everything correctly, and I actually did my first on-camera dive recently. Lindsey was there, and she was so funny. But we have a lot of great scenes for all those Paily shippers out there. There will be a lot of special moments between those two, which I always love. Working with Lindsey is such a blast.
Toward the end of last season, we saw Emily become Spencer 2.0 and lead the charge for “A” clues. Is she still sleuthing in Season 4?
Yeah! I think ever since Emily came out, there was a point in Season 2 where everyone was calling her “badass Emily.” She started to come out of her shell, and she became a lot stronger. Now she’s the one who really takes the lead, so I do think Detective Fields continues to sleuth in Season 4. More than anything, she just wants to look out for her friends and protect them all. Now she’s leading the situation, going in head first, which is really cool to play. There’s going to be a lot more of that. I love Detective Fields.
We know the Liars are going to work more with Mona this season, instead of against her. How does Emily feel about working with their former enemy?
It’s awesome! Usually, when we were shooting scenes with her in the past seasons, there was never a lot between Mona and Emily. She didn’t really have much to do with Mona in the beginning. Aside from being with the rest of the girls, she never had any one-on-one scenes, like she had with Spencer and Hanna, and even Aria. Now, she’s kind of in the group. You’re going to see the girls question, “Can we trust her? Do we trust her? Is this all right? Are we telling her too much?” So it’s one of those things where we cross our fingers and hope that she’s on our side for the good reasons.
Marlene King has promised a lot of answers this season, particularly in the first episode, and a lot more Sasha Pieterse, so what can you tell us about how Ali will be involved in Season 4?
Ali will definitely be involved a lot more because where we last left off, it was all about what happened that summer and was she really pregnant. So a lot of those questions will be answered. There’s going to be a lot more flashbacks as well, as the girls try to put all the puzzle pieces together, so we are definitely going to be seeing Alison a lot more and see other relationships that she had with certain people who might have a big clue in the whole thing.
Last season, you had that scene at the grave that was really chilling!
Oh, gosh! Yeah, that was really crazy. There’s been so many intense scenes. That’s why when anybody asks, “What was your favorite scene?” or “What was your favorite episode?,” I honestly can’t even say because every time we come to work it’s just another crazy scene. Even some of the stuff we shot yesterday, trust me when I say you won’t be disappointed because this season is starting off already so crazy.
Sarah Palin wants it known that she doesn't hold with frivolous functions like the White House Correspondents' Dinner. The former governor of Alaska took to Twitter and Facebook over the weekend to express her displeasure over the annual event.
Palin writes on Facebook, "Yuk it up media and pols. While America is buried in taxes and a fight for our (sic) rights, the permanent political class in DC dresses up and has a prom to make fun of themselves. No need for that, we get the real joke."
She adds on Twitter, "That #WHCD was pathetic. The rest of America is out there working our a**es off while these DC a**clowns throw themselves a #nerdprom."
First off -- since her beef seems to be with holding one now -- while America is out there working and fighting for its rights -- did she have a problem with holding one the spring after 9/11? How about the year we went to war in Iraq? There were WHCDs held both of those years.
There has been a WHCD every year since 1987 and before that, they took place with some regularity since 1944.
What makes this year any different?
Secondly, "nerd prom" isn't exactly a clever slam on the night. Blogger Ana Marie Cox reportedly first used the term to describe the WHCD in 2009 and it's not meant as a dig about the event. Also, the term has been used to describe San Diego Comic-Con since the mid-2000s.
That Palin, always with a finger on the pulse of pop culture.
Finally, the above picture of Palin is from the 2011 WHCD Vanity Fair afterparty. The two pictures below are of daughter Bristol Palin on the red carpet for the 2011 WHCD and husband Todd Palin on the red carpet for the one held in 2009.
Perhaps she's just mad she wasn't invited this year.

what has ABC done to it's Sunday :( Both shows were really good lastnight. Once was the highest drama (in rating) drama on TV and now even Glee beats it :/ And The Good Wife finale was PERFECT!
Ok what are Regina and Cora? Witches? I know Rumple taught them their magic, so are the just normal humans?
