Disney's Frozen Original Ending Revealed

0
0

Producer Peter Del Vecho :

"Frozen went through many different iterations, but here are some common elements from some of the early drafts: Frozen was to open with a prophecy that “a ruler with a frozen heart will bring destruction to the kingdom of Arendelle.”

We’re then introduced to Anna, our pure-hearted heroine, and Elsa, an unrelated evil Snow Queen. We learn Elsa is a scorned woman; she was stood up at the altar on her wedding day and froze her own heart so she would never love again. Both Elsa and the audience assume she’s the villain from the prophecy.

Fast-forward to the final act: Elsa creates an army of snow monsters to attack our heroes while Kristoff has “a Han Solo moment” and comes to help Anna. To halt Elsa’s attacking army, the two-faced Prince Hans triggers a massive avalanche — not caring that the avalanche also puts Anna, Elsa and all of Arendelle in jeopardy. Anna realizes Elsa is their only hope, so she convinces her to use her powers to save the kingdom.

The twist is that the prophecy from the beginning is actually not about Elsa, but about Hans — he’s the one with a metaphorical frozen heart because he’s an unfeeling sociopath. Elsa’s heart is then unfrozen allowing her to love again."

Why the ending was changed
“The problem was that we felt like we had seen it before. It wasn’t satisfying. We had no emotional connection to Elsa — we didn’t care about her because she had spent the whole movie being the villain. We weren’t drawn in. The characters weren’t relatable.”

“Making them related led us to the idea of her living in fear of her powers... Now we had a character in Anna who was all about love and Elsa who was all about fear. That led to making Elsa a much more dimensional sympathetic character, and instead of the traditional good vs. evil theme we had one that we felt was more relatable: Love vs. fear, and the premise of the movie became that love is stronger than fear.”

The Walking Dead: Onscreen Enemies, Offscreen Bromances

0
0
The Walking Dead has had some vicious and violent onscreen rivalries, but a number of the actors who played enemies on the show became very close offscreen. Here are four pairs of the biggest Walking Dead enemies who are now best friends in real life:

1. Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Shane (Jon Bernthal)

Onscreen, they battled over their love for Rick's wife, Lori, and vied for leadership of the group - until Shane tried to kill Rick and got a knife to the gut for his trouble. But offscreen, the two are so close that Lincoln calls Bernthal "my American brother" and Bernthal has said of Lincoln: "It's been the honor of my acting career to act alongside Andrew Lincoln. He's my brother, he's my best friend that I've made in the acting world."

2. The Governor (David Morrissey) and Hershel (Scott Wilson)

The Governor's torment of Rick's group reached its pinnacle when he sliced off the head of kindly father figure Hershel with a sword. But Morrissey and Wilson forged a close friendship on set that continues to this day. The two like to joke about the strange looks they get when the show's fans see them together on the golf course. They were recently spotted saying good-bye after a London convention appearance:

3. Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan)

Negan beat Daryl's friends to death in front of him and then kidnapped and tortured Daryl himself, but Reedus and Morgan spend their time off set taking motorcycle trips together and call each other by pet names ("Bubba" for Reedus and "Sugar" for Morgan). Morgan recently said of Reedus: "I found the brother I never had".

4. Gregory (Xander Berkeley) and Simon (Steven Ogg)

Gregory cowers whenever Negan's brutal henchman Simon shows up at the Hilltop, but Berkeley and Ogg (who have given themselves the couple name 'XandOgg') love to show off their bromance on social media:

Cannes Poster Controversy : Claudia Cardinale responds

“I don’t have any comment to make on the artistic work done on this image. It’s a poster, which beyond representing me, represents a dance, a flight. The photo was retouched to accentuate the effect of lightness and to transpose me into a dream character; it’s a sublimation. Concerns over realism have no place here, and, as a committed feminist, I see no attack on the female form. There are other things happening in the world right now that are more important to be discussing. It’s only cinema, let’s not forget that.”

Rumor: The 100's Lindsey Morgan Could Be Playing Batgirl

0
0

While there is only a bit of evidence to hint that Morgan could possibly get the role, it's enough to definitely keep an eye on. Morgan posted a rather cryptic tweet a few weeks ago, hinting at a "new project" that she is very excited for.

This might seem like it has no bearing on the Batgirl project, until you look at Morgan's Twitter page. She recently retweeted Variety's article breaking the news that Whedon would be directing and writing the project, as well as a tweet advocating for her to play the role.

A quick look through her Twitter likes reveals that she has favorited several tweets on the subject as well, even some that don't directly reference her being cast for the role. While this could look like Morgan is just excited that the film is happening, there are certainly too many coincidences at play for the nerd world to not keep an eye on.
