Sally Yates was the acting Attorney General, she released a statement earlier today that Trump's recent Executive Order was not defendable in court and therefore was not going to defend it. Trump fired her and said she betrayed the DoJ and put national security at risk, which is not true, she defended the Constitution.

Sally Yates, former acting chief of the Justice Department, was fired after writing a memo instructing lawyers at the DOJ not to defend Trump's executive order.
AG Yates wrote, "My responsibility is to ensure that the position of the Department of Justice is not only legally defensible, but is informed by our best view of what the law is after consideration of all the facts. In addition, I am responsible for ensuring that the positions we take in court remain consistent with this institution's solemn obligation to always seek justice and stand for what is right...At present, I am not convinced that the defense of the Executive Order is consistent with these responsibilities nor am I convinced that the Executive Order is lawful."

Justified and Santa Clarita Diet actor Timothy Olyphant found out that he was a victim of voyeurism when Los Angeles police informed him that they had recognized him in a collection of nude photographs taken of unsuspecting people in a gym locker room.

Olyphant joked about the situation on The Ellen Degeneres Show, relating his response to the officer who informed him: “I say, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa. It’s never going to get out?’ And he says, ‘No. It’s not a problem.’ And I say, ‘Well, how do I look?’.”

“I mean, let’s think this through here. We could turn this frown around. I don’t know what the angle is or what, but careers have been made out of perhaps less.”

According to a US Weekly Justin is skipping the Grammy's (where he is nominated for 4 awards) because he “doesn’t think the Grammys are relevant or representative, especially when it comes to young singers". Which is ironic seeing as his manager Scooter Braun put out a Grammy consideration video prior to the nominations coming out.

Kanye West is skipping the Grammy's in a boycott after Frank Ocean's Blonde and Endless were not nominated (even though Frank purposely didn't submit his work in time for the Grammy deadline) and saying he doesn't think "the Grammys represent young black artist" anymore.

And Drake despite being nominated for 8 awards is taking a less controversial stance and will just be touring in Manchester, England on February 12th.

The Grammys air on CBS at 8PM EST on February 12th.

Will you be watching the Grammys this year ONTD?

-Paramount has made an official offer to Gibson to star with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg in Daddy’s Home 2.

-John Lithgow also has an offer to join the cast.

    - Although nothing is known, it seems likely to speculate that Lithgow would play the father of Will Ferrell’s Brad Whitaker and Gibson would play the paterfamilias of Mark Wahlberg‘s Dusty Mayron.

-Daddy’s Home 2 will hit theaters on November 10, 2017!

The cast screened the first two episodes yesterday in 17 Alamo Drafthouse theaters across the nation and did a live Q&A. Here are some pics from the event and some of their answers that made their way to twitter.

The rest is behind a cut.

I assume the question is attributes of their characters they wish they had.
Dominique wishes she had Naomi's toughness, Steven wishes he was idealistic as Holden, Shohreh wishes she was as wise as Avasarala (and had these amazing writers writing for her in real life), Wes wishes he was as free of caring about what other people think/being liked as Amos (Frankie says he's the most lovable person), Cas loves how optimistic Alex is and always has a wise crack.

    Highlights from the interview:

    * Season 1 set the world up, S2 goes in to the inner makings of the characters, what drives them and what they've been struggling with.

    * Naomi's season 2 arc takes a surprising turn, people probably won't expect what they learn about her as she goes on her journey this season. You get to understand a bit more of how she identifies with being a Belter and what that means for her; it's been something she's been running away from.

    * The themes of the show on the grand scale play in between Naomi and Holden on a smaller scale and that's what makes their relationship so interesting this season.

    * Talks about the show's diversity, how it represents the future and society in a way most shows and films don't. She thinks black women and people of color are written much better in sci-fi and fantasy, because there are no guidelines for how everyone should be, which is why she ends up doing a lot of those roles. She loves being on The Expanse, but she never gets cast in girly roles- It'd be nice one day to play a character in a romantic comedy, where she gets to wear a dress and still have a mohawk.

-Instead of doing his usual carpool karaoke for his show...His show opened with a quiet montage of him traveling to LAX airport.

The video ends with the message:

“Today, James flew out of Los Angeles. So all of our shows this week have been pre-taped. Freedom of movement should be this easy for all immigrants. Not just the white and Christian ones.”

    * Sources are reporting Sel and Abel will be making their public debut as a couple at the Grammys.

    * In the last few days The Weeknd's people put in a request to have them seated together. They will also be attending Clive Davis' pre-Grammys party.

    * Justin notably...coincidentally...won't be at the Grammys.

  • For the challenge, the girls were paired up and placed in different rooms for a party. They had to model Philipp Plein's designs in a live-action editorial for the party guests that included SUPER DUPER FAMOUS PEOPLE LIKE Jason DeRulo of all people lmao.

The instructions must not have been super clear because they all kind of did different things - Marissa and Cody acted out a scene where they were fighting over a purse, Paige and Binta stood like mannequins, and the other two pairs walked around modeling the gowns. The winners were Marissa and Cody, despite Courtney's complaint that their screaming over the purse was unprofessional. They got to go to Plein's shop and choose anything they wanted as their prize.

The photo shoot was modelling Plein's designs on a private jet with the same SUPER DUPER FAMOUS PERSON who showed up at the challenge. As usual, Courtney complained (this time, about her clothes) on set.

After the challenge, Courtney revealed to Cory Anne and others that she's had a really rough life, between being homeless for a year, never really having friends, and issues with her mom like her being a hoarder, never telling Courtney she loved her, and eventually kicking her out of the house.

Also, we're getting another episode this week! ANTM is moving to a new night, starting tomorrow.

    Me &

Damn I feel bad for Courtney now :(

Also, I take it from their twitter fight that Marissa and Kyle are NOT still cuddle buddies, like Marissa said they would be after the show lmao
