Jennifer Lawrence's Nude Photo Hacker Gets 9 Months in Jail

Edward Majerczyk, 29, was sentenced Tuesday to nine months in prison for stealing private information, including nude photos, from the online accounts of Jennifer Lawrence and 30 other celebrities and posting them on the internet. He pled guilty to the charges, which had carried a maximum penalty of five years prison time.

He also was ordered to pay $5,700 in restitution for counseling services for one undisclosed celebrity victim whose photos were disseminated online.

Majerczyk's attorney Thomas Needham said in a court filing that his client was "suffering from depression and looked to pornography websites and internet chat rooms in an attempt to fill some of the voids and disappointment he was feeling in his life."

John Mayer released a new album (sort of) and had a non-disastrous chat with Rolling Stone

I think the first set of songs are strong, but the release schedule doesn't benefit them. If this was a way to keep casual interest from petering out too early but also reward the fanbase while waiting for an unfinished album, I think it's a misstep since it really wasn't promoted... like, at all.

Hits Daily Double says Grammy committee pushed for Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Michael Jackson

0
0

  • Rank-and-file grammy voters determine all the nominations for down ballot categories and end up choosing the winners for all nominations

  • The Nominations Review Committee has the final decision for the nominations in the "Big Four" general categories: Album, Record and Song of the Year and Best New Artist

  • Neil Portnow said in an interview with HDD that the committee is allowed to choose from the top 20 voter choices to ensure that the best nominations possible are chosen

  • What gives away that the committee most likely pushed for a nomination is if the same work wasn't nominated in a down ballot category

  • This year the most notable example was Beyonce's "Formation." It wasn't nominated for Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song (based on votes), but it was nominated for Song of the Year and Record of the Year (chosen by the committee). These two nominations made Beyonce the most nominated artist this year. Without them she would have been behind Drake, Rihanna, and Kanye West in nominations.

    • The pattern in the work the committee pushes is to increase the amount of new artists nominated, promote diversity, and help superstars.

    • The "superstar" push became apparent in 1995 when Michael Jackson's "History" was nominated for AOTY, but wasn't nominated for best pop album. He wasn't as popular with the voters because it was his first album post child molestation allegations. (the grammy committee is disgusting for giving him the grammy legend award and a billion noms after the accusations to show their support)

    • Other examples are Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" getting nominated for Record of the Year when she opened the grammys with a performance of it despite not getting a best pop solo performance nomination and Paul McCartney and Paul Simon getting AOTY noms despite being passed over for best pop album.

Jill Soloway has a request for male directors: Stop making movies about rape

the Transparent showrunner spoke at Geena Davis’s Bentonville Film Festival:

“I would like to make a blanket ask to cis men to please stop making movies about rape, stop portraying rape. We get it, guys. You want us to stay inside because you want us to be afraid we’re going to get raped. We get it! Stop making movies and TV shows about rape. Let women make those movies if they want to.”

    on Paul Verhoeven’s Elle:

“I’m gonna get really deep. We’re gonna talk about Paul Verhoeven for a second. I actually believe they envy our vaginas and our vulnerability, and so they project their desire for their own vulnerability onto women, and then they make films about raping them to be able to experience the feeling of the being-done-to, letting go, which they can’t do as straight men. They have to do the done-to; laminated onto cis male heterosexuality is ‘I do to’ and so they project the ‘done-to’ onto women. They project the ‘done-to’ onto queer people, and they make movies about rape so they can be in the feeling of being ‘done-to’ against their will, which I think is actually their fantasy. And I just want them to stop projecting onto our bodies everything. Kinda deep.”

Quantico 2x10 "JMPALM" Promo + Priyanka talks musicals on LIVE with Kelly

At the Farm, Owen teaches the recruits a lesson on the necessity of betrayal, with a mission of getting the Venezuelan Consul Gabriel Carrera (Javier Muñoz, “Hamilton”) to turn on his country. In the future, Alex is forced to team up with Miranda to save the hostages, while President Claire Haas has a plan to end the crisis once and for all.

Priyanka talks more about her stunt work and recent injury.

It was raining so she slipped, hit her head on a car and then on the ground. However, being the award-winning actress she is, she powered through and finished the scene before going to the hospital. (OP Note: Legends Only)

MRI revealed she had bruised her brain. She wasn't allowed to read anything or watch TV. Apparently, not being able to fall asleep is an old wives' tale, but her doctor still wanted someone checking on her every hour.

Grateful to her fans and for the People's Choice Award she recently won.

Then she talks about musicals and how Bollywood musicals tell a story with the music instead of having the song and dance break up the story. She would love to be in a musical.

Jon Voight: Miley Cyrus & Shia LaBeouf 'Teaching Treason'

Actor Jon Voight told TMZ today “[It's] been very destructive, this marching against the government and against the president.” When asked if he was referring to the Women’s March, he said that the right to protest is “what the first amendment is all about, but what was the march about? The march was against the government and against the president, trying to denigrate his office and his presidency. And that’s no good.”

He added, "“When you see the young people, like Shia LaBeouf and Miley Cyrus, and they have a lot of followers, young people are looking at them and what are they teaching? They’re teaching treason. They’re teaching going up against the government [and] not accepting the will of the people on this presidency and it’s a very sad day when I see this. I find it’s a very sad thing for me to witness what they're doing, but they have a huge amount of influence, so it’s not so good.”

Voight appeared on Fox News numerous times during the Obama administration to voice his disapproval of Obama's presidency.
