    To give background, after Flint changed its water source from treated water from the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department to the Flint River, its drinking water had a series of problems (which culminated in lead contamination and created a serious public health danger).

    According to THR, Cher has been cast as a character whose family is affected by the contamination issue in Flint, Michigan.
