This post is really just an excuse to talk about this beautiful movie.
Florence Henderson, best known for her iconic role as Carol Brady on The Brady Bunch, passed away from heart failure earlier this evening while surrounded by her family and friends. She was 82 years old.

RIP Florence. Her cameo in The Brady Bunch Movie was always my favorite.
In a new video, popular youtubers Joey Graceffa and Vine/Youtube star Gabbie from The Gabbie Show did a sit down video exposing some celebs they met throughout the years.
Adam Brody was apparently not nice. Gabbie got hired to promote one of Adam Brody's projects using her Vine, and he was rude to her apparently because he refused to even politely decline her ideas just went "what else do you have" when she suggested her idea? He denied 3 of her ideas and was like "mm I dont really want to do it".
Melissa McCarthy wasn't mean but she wasn't super warm. Gabbie met her at a party, was introduced to her and Melissa just looked at her, turned away and started talking to someone else for 5 min then later turned back and went nice to meet you and walked away?
John Stamos was apparently the nicest. Brendon Urie was the sweetest. Joey had dinner at some event and sat at the table with Lana Del Rey and she was the sweetest too.
Joey was hired to play 2 truths and a lie with the Hunger Games cast (Liam, Jen etc.)and post on his channel. He walked in and none of them made eye contact with him. They had no idea what the game was, apparently. They stop playing the game halfway through and get into a conversation with each other, ignoring Joey who was there trying to finish his filming/game etc.
Tell us about your celeb encounters, ontd!!
Rory: "I'm pregnant"

“Lots of people, especially women, get told, ‘Oh, you know, it’s going to really affect your career’, and it does, but for the better in most cases that I know. I think everyone – even if they’re in a challenging time in their life – draws strength from their children. They’re inspirations rather than hindrances."
The article noticeably only focuses on Kumquat and doesn't even talk about his wife or what projects she's working on or had to put on hold. Cumbersnatch goes on to talk about how inspiring his own parents were.
how often does your partner put their foot in their mouth?

Her caption: On #Thanksgiving, a day with complex origins, I want to speak up in support of the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation and their protest of the Dakota Access Pipeline.
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with what is going on in North Dakota. While it may not be on your front pages, this is not a frightening series of events for “them”, it is frightening series of events for all of us. The pipeline in question, would carry crude oil through land sacred to indigenous peoples and put a crucial water supply at risk. We have seen the results of unintended oil spills before and they are crippling to the health of the surrounding people and environment.
To all those peacefully protesting to protect history, to protect that which is personally sacred and to protect our life sustaining water sources, we are here shoulder to shoulder with you across this country. We cannot afford to be complacent with our rights and we cannot afford to be complacent with the rights of our neighbor.
Testimonies from the protests alarm me and should alarm all of us:
Some 400 people who were held in detention during demonstrations have suffered what Mr. Kiai (UN Special Rapporteur) called “inhuman and degrading conditions.” He is concerned over both the scale of arrests and the conditions in which American citizens are being held.“ Marking people with numbers and detaining them in overcrowded cages, on the bare concrete floor, without being provided with medical care, amounts to inhuman and degrading treatment,” he said. Protestors have reported facing rubber bullets, teargas, mace, compression grenades, and bean-bag rounds while voicing their concerns over the environmental impact of the pipeline and throughout their attempts to protect burial grounds and other sites that are sacred to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. - UN.org
During this holiday and beyond, let us stand in solidarity with all those who are trying to protect it. I made a donation and I hope you can too today. See the link in my bio how you can donate. Also, it's easy to donate in 🇺🇸 by texting WATER to 82623

YG has officially announced that 2NE1 is disbanding.
Here is the official statement from YG:
“2NE1’s exclusive contract expired in May 2016, and with Minzy leaving 2NE1, we have come to the decision to officially disband after extensive discussion with the remaining members.
“As 2NE1 was YG’s official girl group for seven years, we cannot begin to express how we feel, but we determined that it was too difficult to continue. Rather than waiting an unknown amount of time for 2NE1’s next promotions, we have decided to focus on the members’ solo activities.
“We sincerely thank all the fans both in Korea and abroad that have loved the group and their music for all this time.
“We would like to officially announce that after last May, we resigned with CL and Sandara Park. However, unfortunately, there is no new contract with Park Bom.”
'Gilmore Girls' creator Amy Sherman-Palladino wishes you weren’t so obsessed with Rory’s boyfriends https://t.co/aolO1OeF1b— TIME (@TIME) November 25, 2016
"It’s a small part of who Rory is. Rory didn’t spend her days thinking, “Who am I going to end up with?” Rory was much more concerned about “How do I get that interview at the New York Times?” It’s a natural thing: People love romance. Romance is an element of every show on air, including The Sopranos or Breaking Bad."
if she was so much more, why did you plan in advance that she ends up pregnant at 21....
"Somewhere along the way we told a fundamental and universal human truth: that love and youth will get caught up in the crossfire of the incumbent generation, or that the best things in the world can be born into a broken world, and one you didn't break"— OC-fam @BazLuhrmann talks #RomeoAndJuliet 20 years later …
Humberto Leon: I loved that despite how your film modernized Romeo and Juliet's story, it still embraced Shakespeare's original text. I've read that it wasn't easy to convince the studio of this. Did you or the cast find it at all limiting or difficult to keep the dialogue in Shakespearean English?
Baz Luhrman: We certainly had to fight for it. My then-executive, who consequently has become a great friend, told me on the way in: “Whatever you do, don’t mention the language.” As a result, I think I was trying to bludgeon things like “what light through yonder window breaks?” into, “Ok...so the lights are on.” But keeping Shakespeare's text was the number one priority for Craig Pearce and me when we were doing the adaption. Indeed, everything in the film is about clarifying that language. This is not something we took lightly. In Miami, Craig and I used to work in the same room hammering out the text, each on an old black and white Mac, and we called ourselves “the Butchers of The Bard.” I think we even had hats made to that effect. It wasn’t because we thought it was cute, it was a genuine moral anxiety-- changing anything that William Shakespeare had put on the page for a reason. That said, Craig and I did cut, paste, and move words around, we reduced the text in places, but we never wrote "extra Shakespeare." People are shocked sometimes to learn that.
And how did you come to the decision of selecting Hawaiian shirts for the Montagues? Is there any special meaning behind this choice?
Shakespeare presented a “true fiction” of a feud that was rooted in a danger and violence that his audience could viscerally understand. We tried in our own way to do the same. In terms of our time and geography, we looked to the parallel universe of a Verona made up of Miami and LA, the gang violence in those cities during the ‘90s. We also looked to evoke the broader story of American crime and immigration in the 19th and 20th centuries. Our Montagues were more like a respectable old Irish crime family who now had a mayor or police chief in office—and now their sons are returning from the tropics of the Pacific theater as war heroes. With the Capulets, while the immediate gang culture of LA in the nineties was very much a touchstone, we're reaching right back into South American, Latino, and Hispanic imagery. I think one of the kind of cleverest touches was the way the religious iconography was incorporated into the clothing. I don't know if people were aware, but those cropped jackets the Capulets wear are in fact meant to be Kevlar body armor in which, you know, there are images of the Madonna, etc. are lacquered upon the top. There are so many other examples. Certainly, nothing was arbitrary: from Mercutio turning up in drag to go the costume ball, to Leonardo being a knight in shining armor, or Dave Paris, amplifying his haplessness dressed as an astronaut while having to dance.
The music in Romeo + Juliet was incredible, with Cardigans, Everclear, Des'ree, and of course, Radiohead. Thom Yorke mentioned that Exit Music (For A Film) helped shape the direction of OK Computer. How did you meet Radiohead? What about Exit Music made it appropriate for the soundtrack?
The Radiohead story is quite an interesting one because while Radiohead had broken through, they were not—just yet—the huge, galaxy-wide, iconic band they are today. They were on tour at the time and we’d all discussed how perfect they would be to do that final moment after the tragic death. So I reached out to Thom on the road, and so began a series of phone calls where I would variously ring him, brief about the song, talk about what it could achieve emotionally. Thom understood perfectly and our chats always ended with the very exciting promise that the song was on its way. Truth be known, time passed and passed, and soon time was up. We got so late in the mix that we had to actually replace it. I only learnt years later that Thom, Jonny, and the band were going through some difficult times and they almost came to a parting of ways, which is terrible thought to me: “a world without Radiohead.” Now, no doubt R+J was a special soundtrack. But even if it had been a total train wreck, the fact that Thom Yorke and Radiohead were able to use that context, story, and environment for a moment to come up with “Exit Music (For A Film),” which became part of that small triumph called OK Computer-- that would have been enough. Anyway, back at the mix, moments before it was truly the point of no return for us, someone came running in with an old DAT tape and a little note that read something like, “To Baz, from Thom. Hope you like it and that it's not too late." We played it and the rest is history.

Evan Rachel Wood has a new interview in Rolling Stone, and she discusses her bisexuality, her personal demons, Marilyn Manson, and controversial Westworld stuff.
Highlights and quotes under the cut:
She just moved to Nashville with her 3-year-old-son by Jamie Bell
She was once able to shed a single tear out of a single eye on command.
Her parents divorced when she was young. This made her divorce with Jamie Bell extra hard.

"I met somebody that promised freedom and expression and no judgments. And I was craving danger and excitement... I'm sorry, but I can't live my life for other people.' "
"Most teenagers are searching for identity, and I was thrown into a situation where I was supposed to have that already figured out. Then you're demonized for figuring it out and getting messy. People would call me a whore when I walked down the street, and you can't not be hurt by that."
She realized at age 4 or 5 that she was attracted to women. Says the LGBTQ community would have been more accepting had she been a lesbian in stead of bi.
She attempted suicide at age 22:
"[It] was, weirdly, the best-worst thing that ever happened to me. 'Cause it did not work."
She suffered "physical, psychological, sexual" abuse by an intimate partner.
Revealed that she has been sexually assaulted twice-- once by a partner, once by a bar owner.
She revealed her trauma to help other bisexual people feel less alone about theirs.
She calls herself a "soccer mom" and drives a minivan.
