Daniel Radcliffe: I'm friends with some really fucking racist people
Daniel Radcliffe discussed racism in a new interview while promoting his new film Imperium in which Daniel plays a FBI agent who goes undercover in a white superemacist group.
The interviewer asked Daniel if he spent some time with real white supremacists to have a better understanding of the script and he said:
"No, but I know some really fucking racist people, friends I vehemently disagree with. They’re not white supremacists, they would never be that extreme, but they are anti-immigration and absolutely voted to leave in Brexit. And I’m still friends with them because I don’t think that friendship should be drawn along those lines. That’d be a really sad way of viewing the world. But yeah, I definitely have got first-hand experience with this.
And also, just get into a cab in London. Some of the most unbelievably racist shit I’ve ever heard came out of a cab driver’s mouth in London, and you just go, ‘Dude, you’re taking a chance. I know I’m white, but you can’t just assume that I’m gonna agree with you. My girlfriend was in an Uber the other day in L.A., and the guy was like, ‘So, who are you voting for?’ Why is that small talk in a 45-minute cab ride? At the beginning, she was like, ‘Hillary,’ and then she couldn’t help herself and asked, ‘Are you voting for Trump?’ And his actual response was, ‘Yeah, just to see what happens.’ Which is just the worst. It’s the same people who say, ‘Well, I just love Trump because he says what he thinks.’ But isn’t the problem that he thinks that in the first place"?

"Don’t help him propagate things that are blatantly untrue. The things that always winds me up is when you hear Hillary Clinton say she wants to do background checks for gun control, and then you hear Trump say, ‘She wants to take away your guns!’ No, she doesn’t; she has at no point said that, so don’t repeat what he’s said. [The media] has actually started doing it: somebody sent me a screenshot the other day of their TV which read, ‘Donald Trump Says He Did Not Say This Thing. [He Did.]’ He should be very much treated like a politician and not a reality TV star because otherwise, he’ll be allowed to get away with a lot more".

Teen Mom's Tyler defends how he talks to Catelynn... says you're just jealous of their relationship
In case you missed it last week's episode of Teen Mom OG featured a scene where Catelynn mentioned that she was thinking of going back on Weight Watchers. This clip hit the internet and before the episode aired several outlets were talking about the way that Tyler spoke to Catelynn ("I don't want no heifer for a wife") and how he was more passive aggressive than supportive of his wife who has struggled with postpartum depression and anxiety.
Tyler recently took to twitter to make sure everyone knew that these criticisms were uncalled for because people don't know what real relationships are like and that everyone is just a jealous hater.

Equals director Drake Doremus gave his GF costume credit and the other designers are pissed off

- When the movie was conceived Drake Doremus brought his gf Alana Morshead (who is an actress but has done some styling work for him on commercials) to help design the look of the film
- She suggested the utilitarian white suit look
- Costume designer Carlos Rosario was brought on board to actually work on the film. He was told to find the GF something to do so he assigned her small side projects while actually building prototypes for the costumes
- He quit a month before the film went into production because he wasn't getting the go ahead to actually manufacture the clothes and an L.A. costume production company quit the job because so many deadlines had been missed
- Abby O’Sullivan another costume designer was brought on board to remake the costumes which she did with less than a month to go and minimal contact with Morshead
- When the movie was released Morshead did interviews where she claimed all the credit for the costuming even though she was never on set doing any of the costuming and was never involved with any of the production design or fabric choices
- O'Sullivan and Morshead ended up receiving equal credit for the film while Rosario didn't get credit at all
Doremus' response:
Just wanna set the record straight here. Alana most definitely was the costume designer on my film ‘Equals’ and was involved from the very first day in crafting the look and doing camera tests with me that ended up being what was on my actors. Abby came on board about a month prior to shooting about a year later after Alana and I began working together and added some minor changes to the existing look and was on set dressing the actors.
