Leonardo DiCaprio May Be Banned From Indonesia Over Palm Oil Comments https://t.co/6IlcDQGdgbpic.twitter.com/und16hX2ET
— Hollywood Reporter (@THR) April 2, 2016
Leo made a one-day visit to Mount Leuser National Park in northern Sumatra last weekend and uploaded photos to his Instagram account.
He criticized that palm oil plantations are destroying the country's rainforests and endangering wildlife.
Heru Santoso (spokesman for the Directorate General for Immigration at the Law and Human Rights Ministry) said today that DiCaprio used his visit to discredit the palm oil industry and the Indonesian government, and that he may be blacklisted.
"We support his concern to save the Leuser ecosystem, but we can blacklist him from returning to Indonesia at any time if he keeps posting incitement or provocative statements in his social media."
The lowland #rainforest of the Leuser Ecosystem are considered the world’s best remaining habitat for the critically endangered Sumatran #elephant. In these forests, ancient elephant migratory paths are still used by some of the last #wild herds of Sumatran elephants. But the expansion of Palm Oil plantations is fragmenting the #forest and cutting off key elephant migratory corridors, making it more difficult for elephant families to find adequate sources of food and water. The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation is supporting local partners to establish a mega-fauna sanctuary in the Leuser Ecosystem, last place on Earth where Sumatran orangutans, tigers, rhinos and elephants coexist in the wild.

#SaveLeuserEcosystem #Indonesia
A world-class biodiversity hotspot, the #Indonesian Leuser Ecosystem is one of the most important areas of intact #rainforest left in Southeast Asia. Its forests are home to the densest remaining populations of the critically endangered Sumatran #orangutan. But Palm Oil expansion is destroying this unique place. Now is the time to save the Leuser Ecosystem. We must develop a permanent solution to protect and restore this valuable natural asset. Click the link in the bio to stand up and #SaveLeuserEcosystem. #Indonesia
As the forest of the #Indonesian #LeuserEcosystem continues to be cleared to meet demand for Palm Oil, the critically endangered Sumatran #orangutan is being pushed to the brink of extinction. Here, at the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Programme’s Orangutan Quarantine Center, rescued orangutans are rehabilitated so they can be released back into the wild. If we don't stop this rampant destruction, the Leuser Ecosystem and the Sumatran orangutans that call it home could be lost forever. TV review: @hulu's #ThePathhttps://t.co/zArOS6b7H3pic.twitter.com/S0kZLHoZOX
— Variety (@Variety) March 31, 2016
- Produced by Jason Katims (Friday Night Lights)
- Stars Aaron Paul, Michelle Monaghan, and Hugh Dancy
- The above actors are senior members of the "Meyerist Movement". A creepy religious cult that uses various means, included psychedelic drugs, that members use in order to "level up" towards ~the light~.
- The specific compound we are privy to is in NY, but there are communes across the US
- The fake religion's practices are similar to Scientology, which had led people (me) to speculate if Jason Katims will be sued and/or mysteriously disappear soon
#ThePath is now Certified Fresh.

Hillary came onto stage to everyone's surprise: "The entire world knows what you know, and that is, black girls rock!” After addressing the national crises in Flint, she said her life was changed by strong leaders like Dr. Maya Angelou and Michelle Obama.
Rih got the Rock Star award and said “This is an important moment in my career to be celebrated because I’m black, role model is not the title they like to give me, which is why tonight, it is so important. I know I am inspiring girls to be themselves and that’s half the battle.”

• Says that he's learned a lot from his "strong-minded, independent" sisters and mother.
• Thinks that noticing a woman's new haircut is a must.
• He is in no rush to get married, but remains open to the possibility.

Mariah Carey (or more likely her manager Stella) took to Instagram to share a saucy photo of the international superstar climbing up stairs, revealing her firm derrière and a peek at her panties under a silky jacket. But online commentators took issue with the mother-of-two's revealing shot, leaving comments including: "I'm worried for Mimi," "That doesn't give a good testimony. To others about your faith or a good example for your children. I love you Mariah but goodbye to you! Im ashamed for you," "Take this shit down!!," and "We'll see her naked soon like Kim Kardashian."

Chris did a live reading of Rihanna's Work, and while he poked fun at it ("It just drummed up a whole lot of feelings, emotions and past experiences, it makes you just want to get to work, doesn’t it? Hear that, kids? Get a job.") he kept it cool.

Least problematic Marvel bae still in reign, is the the only one remaining ?

Over 57 musical artists, including huge pop acts like Katy Perry, Bon Jovi, and and Billy Joel, are urging Washington to reform what they say is an outdated copyright law that makes it easy for users to upload illegal content. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act was signed into law by President Clinton in 1998-- Perry et al claim services such as Youtube allow their users to upload illegal content and profit off advertising from it, often without any legal consequences. The artists would like the burden of policing illegally posted content to fall on the host sites rather than on the artists themselves. As it currently stands, musicians and other content creators must police sites like Youtube and act on any illegal uploads of their copyrighted material.
ONTD, would you support this law?

Miley Cyrus has allegedly distanced herself from Terry Richardson, the photographer who directed the video for Cyrus's pop it "Wrecking Ball." Richardson has been accused several times of groping, sexually harassing, and assaulting young models, some of them underage. Cyrus supposedly broke away from Richardson after word of the allegations against him grew more numerous and more difficult to ignore. Even though Richardson has multiple accusers who have provided independent accounts of their harassment and assaults, he still has many celebrity fans: Lady Gaga, Beyonce, and Lena Dunham, have all recently worked with him.
In lighter news, Miley was also overheard discussing getting a new tattoo. Allegedly she wants to get some ink that spells the word "leetle"-- maybe that's a cutesy way of saying "little."
Her tattoo placement is so bad, imo. And I think she kept working with Uncle Terry even after the allegations came out.

In the latest issue of Esquire, Charlize addressed the rumors that she and Tom Hardy didn't get along on Mad Max: Fury Road.
"We fuckin' went at it, yeah. And on other days, he and George [Miller, the director] went at it. It was the isolation, and the fact that we were stuck in a rig for the entire shoot. We shot a war movie on a moving truck—there's very little green screen. It was like a family road trip that just never went anywhere. We never got anywhere. We just drove. We drove into nothingness, and that was maddening sometimes. And it's material that's really frightening—we didn't have a script. Tom and I are actors who take our jobs seriously. Both of us want to please the directors we work with, and when you don't know if you can deliver on that, it's a frightening place to be—and for Tom more than me, because he was stepping into big shoes. I'd rather have that honesty working with someone than someone who fake-smiles through something—especially for actors, when your job is to go for the emotional truth. When you're with somebody and you don't feel like you're in their emotional truth, then you don't trust them. I think good actors go all the way. If you want to be a safe actor, and you emotionally protect yourself from things getting out of hand, the performance will show all of that. Anyone who really, really, really goes into the deep dark corners of what emotional truth is, as somebody who works opposite of that, you have to be grateful for that. I beg for that. I beg for that on a job, that potency to the stew that makes it that magic that it is. We drove each other crazy, but I think we have respect for each other, and that's the difference. This is the kind of stuff that nobody wants to understand—there's a real beauty to that kind of relationship."
When they finished filming, Tom left her a self-portrait with a red handprint on the back as a gift with the note, "You are an absolute nightmare, BUT you are also fucking awesome. I'll kind of miss you. Love, Tommy."
