After blowing up the internet with those sweet white Vans, Damn Daniel’s creator has now become the victim of one of the internet’s worst “pranks.”

ABC 7 is reporting that Riverside, CA police got a prank call on Tuesday which claimed that the teen who filmed “Damn Daniel,” a popular internet meme, had shot his mother with an AK-47. In response, the police descended on the teenager’s home...only to find out it was all fake. The culprit had used a voice modulator to fool the police into thinking an emergency was unfolding, when in actuality nothing was happening.

Given the video’s popularity—it’s gotten hundreds of thousands of retweets on Twitter, and everyone on the internet seems to be talking about it—this outcome probably isn’t a surprise. Once you get big enough on the internet, swatting has practically become a (dangerous) rite of passage. Celebrities, congresswomen, and randos on the internet alike have all fallen prey to swatting, which is awful when you consider that, at best, this “joke” wastes everyone’s time, and at worst, someone actually gets hurt by SWAT teams who are just trying to do their jobs.

“We believe and the family believes that since their video went viral, it’s somehow connected,” said Riverside police lieutenant Kevin Townsend. “Ever since their video has gone out there, they’ve received a number of what they call strange phone calls and emails, and a lot of strange things happening so tonight was just another incident for their family.”

Damn, Daniel. Hopefully they won’t be back at it again with those S.W.A.T. vans.

    bullet points:
-it was the kid who filmed the video, not daniel himself
-someone used a voice modulator and told police that the teen had shot his mother
-SWAT team shows up to find that it was just a prank, everyone is safe
-seriously, how fucked up is that???

what do you think, ONTD? has the internet gone too far? i think that must have been horrifying, i'm thankful no one got hurt. the internet has become far too cool with doxxing, speaking from personal experience it's incredibly scary when a bunch of people know where you live and you have no idea what they could do to you.

Again reiterating that he asked his wife's permission and spoke to Taylor about the song:

He also played some new music. Go to the source's ig account to search for videos of that if interested.

-a casting director told wendell pierce, "i couldn’t put you in a shakespeare movie, because they didn’t have black people then."

-kimberly pierce on coming out in hollywood, "i thought the gayness was what was going to freak people out, and in a lot of ways, it’s the femaleness that causes more problems in a straight, male world."

-john ridley wrote a screenplay wrote a screenplay for a film with a black woman as the lead character. film execs questioned him, asking "why does she have to be black?”

-america ferrera on her first audition when she was 16: the casting director [for a commercial] said, “Can you do it again but sound more Latino?” I had no idea what she was talking about. “You mean you want me to speak in Spanish?” She’s like: “No. Do it in English but just sound more Latino.” I genuinely didn’t realize until later that she was asking me to speak English with a broken accent.

The Voter is a member of the members-at-large branch (for member in "a key creative position for which the Academy has no branch.")

    - not a fan of The Revenant
    - even watched The 100-Year-Old Man [Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared]
    - "The Martian was entertaining enough, and I loved Matt Damon, but it was basically Cast Away on Mars"
    - thinks Son of Saul is gonna win best foreign film bc the academy is full of old Jewish people, including this voter
    - didn't seem to like Carol and Brooklyn
    - "Star Wars: [The Force Awakens] was really good but I don't know how much of the editing was actually CGI"
    - their actor picks: Leo, Brie, Bale, and Alicia
    - "The Revenant was outside the whole time so who's the production designer? God?"

    • The film will be released on October 7, 2016.

    • 'Birth of a Nation' premiered on Sundance at the wake of the #OscarsSoWhite controversy and was bought by Fox Searchlight for $17.5 million.

    • The date (and all the buzz) probably means that it will be a player at next year's awards season.

    • Other october releases include Ben Affleck's 'The Accountant', Emily Blunt's 'The Girl On The Train', and Channing Tatum's 'Gambit'.

    • The movie stars Nate Parker, Armie Hammer, Aja Naomi King, Grabrielle Union and many others.

Do you think that Nate Parker will enter the never ending list of pieces of shit who get rewarded by The Academy and others, ONTD? Have this screencap of Kween Stefani for a lil comic relief.

Singer Teddy Sinclair has been keeping busy in recent months, working with Madonna on 2015’s Rebel Heart and co-writing “Kiss It Better” off Rihanna’s latest album, Anti. Both of those experiences put Sinclair in the headspace she needed to work on her own music.

“Mr. Watson”, a smoky, soulful ballad that recalls Amy Winehouse in all the best ways... LISTEN TO MR. WATSON

Parts 2/3 (of 4) of zap2it w/ Emily Bett Rickards
-The Death will feel like "a part of the machine is missing"
-was very protective of the temporary paralysis storyline but knew they couldn't show it through authentically on a show with so much going on all the time
-focused on felicity was going to keep being herself "positive and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and always going toward that light”
-BUT felicity can't help but change; being able to walk again has made her "check in with herself about what she really wants to do and whether or not this is a new idea or something that's been hibernating inside of her"
-felicity has a new goal that she won't be letting go of - doesn't say what that is (or who it includes)

-said to E! online" that it's important that curtis made this implant, shows the impact he'll have the rest of this season and hopefully going into the next
-does felicity have limits to what she'll put up with? "I feel like we all get stuck in those relationships, and I think it's a very true representation of what relationships can become. How much leeway and how many more bruises can you take until the injury actually reveals itself, or heals? Maybe this is her last bruise that she can take from this, as much as she loves him."
-will she risk him lying to her again or accept she may not always get the total truth?
-healthiest way to deal with william could have been for her to get to know him - if there was time this season

-talked more about felicity "new goal" - has started working on something else.
-felicity does't "necessarily want to be working at Palmer Tech in the day and giving her life to the team at night" - wants to make a difference in the world (SMOAK TECHNOLOGIES??????)
-still wants felicity to be on the team
-says that the computer part of the lair is called "felicity's lair" on set <3

-berlanti asked him if he wanted to direct an episode this season or next - but he passed on it because there's so much prep and post work that goes on with directing aside from him also being in the episodes
-last night's episode was his favorite one to work on because it was "new and exciting"
-got to tap into the emotions of actually being a father irl and bring an authenticity to the stakes of william's kidnapping (let us not forget when he didn't let his child make eye-contact with the person he considered to be an "emotional terrorist" slash "overly sexualized velociraptor")
-is proud of the show and this season; has a great relationship with marc guggenheim
-most important thing, that we'll see in latter part of this season, not forgetting what people loved most about the show in the first place
-we'll get to hear oliver's vows

-oliver's discovery of malcolm's malicious betrayal is something they can't come back from (i think the whole "hand chopping" did that but okay lol)
-says it'll be interesting to see what happens to that dynamic because they've "never really been sworn enemies"
-after the hiatus they really start building to the endgame of the season
-called 4x15 a victory (on the darhk front) but "victories aren't always what they seem"
