-First video directed by Director X. Second by Swedish director Tim Erem.
-It wasn't intended to have two videos for "Work."
-The second clip is just one set up of an entire "Work" video shot by Tim Erem. It was decided not to use the rest of the footage because they changed the track ["Kiss it Better?" hmmmmmmT].
-Because of this, they decided to shoot more footage for "Work" with Director X and make it into two videos.
-Erem is not sure what they are doing with the rest of his footage but hopes people will see it soon.
-Tim has not seen Director X's version of "Work" and is happy as long as he has his own version.
-Wants people to like his second half of the video better. Hopes his original version comes out.

ONTD, which version of "Work" do you prefer? First or second?

Hamilton continues to get accolades (and Lin continues to get more ~Hamiltons in prize money):

The award created in honor of former Senator Edward Kennedy gives $100,000 to “a new play or musical that enlists theater’s power to explore the past of the United States.”

In other news, Lin has come to the rescue of the Drama Book Shop in NYC (a long-standing resource for the theater community and where he wrote a lot of In the Heights), after a burst pipe caused serious damage to the store and a large section of inventory. He has made public appeals on Twitter and dedicated this past Saturday's #Ham4Ham show to it:

As a result, Playbill reports that business has shot up 50% in-store and 200% for mail orders, and they have received a record-breaking 200 pre-orders for #Hamiltome!

Next Stop: Pulitzer Prize? Also, happy birthday to the generaaaaal: George Washington!

    • The author starts by saying that Millenium was a flop by not having catchy phrases like "I want to believe" or " the truth is out there" that the X-files used.

    • Then goes to say it is unfair to compare it to the X-Files and it should be seen as a Buffy/Angel type of relationship.

    • Millenium reputation, like Angel's, remains linked to its predecessor, but its  legacy is not as easy to explain, as some consider Millenium a  masterpiece, an hybrid between science fiction and horror; while others consider it a horrible mistake.

    • He further argues the mythos and the whole feeling of the series grows when Chris Carter decides to focus on the fifth season of the X-Files (and the movie) in its second season, leaving  Morgan and Wong as the new showrunners, just like Angel's second season.

    • It basically argues that the show was cancelled way too soon.

Bob Ezrin, a 66 year old music producer and critic, published a scathing essay on Kanye West in a Lefsetz newsletter. He said that Kanye isn’t on the same creative level as Jay-Z, Tupac, Biggie, and even MC Hammer. He dissed Kanye's songwriting as sophomoric at best and that it was unlikely that we'll be quoting Kanye's lyrics 20 years from now. He added that Kanye's production skills pale in comparison to Timbaland and Rick Rubin. In of course news, Kanye didn't take the diss sitting down and took to Twitter to put Ezrin on blast.

If columnist Dan Wooton were to be believed, Harry Styles has no interest to attend the The Brits tonight although he is in town and One Direction are up for two Brit awards. Niall Horan is said to be also missing the event as he is still backpacking around Asia. Louis and Liam, however, flew from L.A. to attend the show and are expected to present an award.

Lilo have practicaly confirmed their attendance by posting snaps on Instagram. Louis posted a selfie today taken at the 02 Arena where the awards show is being held. Liam, meanwhile, shared an almost NSFW pic with the caption Workout done off to party!!! #britawards2016. Harry, on the other hand, was spotted chilling at Soho in London today.

Mods, this proves that One Direction are never ever getting back together. Time for a Harry Styles tag.

Christine & the Queens, talked with The Fader about some things. The interview is great, worth the read, look at the source for the full version, here are some highlights :

About singing in two languages : "I remember my record label being like, “Can you do a French chorus for the radio?” But I was just writing with what moved me. I didn’t want to choose between English and French because, for me, I use lyrics and languages as an instrument. French sounds different than English, and so if I can switch between those two it’s interesting for me, because of the ruptures we can create."

About her decision to translate some of the songs : "I could have kept the exotic French vibe, but I didn’t really want to do that, I just wanted people to meet me, to meet Christine as a character, the same way that I wanted to be understood in France. It’s like going on a date. You just want to present your best self and be relatable right away."

About being a popstar or not : "Jesus, I don’t know. I don’t know who I am, but I would love to be global. I like the idea of being popular and relatable. This is why I love pop music, and this is why I’m doing it. I used to be interested in theater, but what I hated about theater is that it’s reserved to a certain type of audience. It’s not democratic; you can’t really share it quickly. A song, it’s like a virus. Everybody can have it."

About masculinity in the way she dresses and if she gets different reactions around the world because of that : "Well, actually, no. It’s been the same way, and the same nice way. But I think it’s been because my character is soft. It’s like being a Trojan horse. I don’t look threatening. I look like this eight-year-old boy trying to be Beyoncé."

oliviamunn Ask anyone who knows me and they'll tell you I love research. Convinced that there's got to be natural, healthy ways (ie not only the rich and connected can do it) to keep your skin from aging, I do lots of research.
Who says guys are the only ones who can get better with age? We're gonna turn that myth around, if we share what we learn with each other. So here are 4 skin tips I've learned just over this past year that really helped the texture and shape of my face.
Left Pic: 1 year ago. Right Pic: Last month.
    1. I lost 12 pounds this past year while training for Xmen. I kept it off by coming up w/an hour workout I do a few times a week. The weight loss leaned out my cheeks and jawline. Working out is also great for your skin because it increases blood flow to your face which helps rejuvenate.
    2. Reshaped my brows. I do my own brows and always thought they were supposed to have a high arch. Then a facialist pointed out to me that I was shaping my brows into a frown. So I let the top of my brows grow in (which is never fun because it looks spotty for a few weeks) and then I plucked the bottom. That gave my brows a more horizontal angle and instantly brightened my eyes.
    3. Got rid of sunspots. I love my freckles. But over the past couple of years I've seen more come up and merge with other freckles to make large dark spots. Dark spots prevent your skin from reflecting light and gives you a dull complexion. So for the past year I've been diligently using @Proactiv Mark Fading Pads. I wipe my face with one every night and now my face has a more even tone and the large spots aren't as noticeable.
    4. I've talked about this before and I still stand by it: Japanese potatoes that are high in Hyaluronic Acid help keep wrinkles away. Look up this video: "Connie Chung Yuzihara" to learn all about it. There are Hyaluronic Acid pills and vitamins but I think that the best way to get it in your system is by eating them in foods that naturally have them.
I'm still looking into what gets rid of the lines that develop around your neck. I think it has to do with tension and acupuncture might be the answer. When I find out more, I'll let you know. 👯
