You should be ashamed for using your platform amongst teens to discredit the good things psychiatry has done pic.twitter.com/ngpICtqrDm

Lauren posted on Twitter and Instagram that psychiatry is a joke and glorified drug dealing, and they need to stop drugging up youth basically. Many of her fans replied in a rage, talking about their depression and anxiety, and how they need their prescriptions to get through day to day life. Some fans also talked about how their meds are the reason they haven't committed suicide. Lauren then deleted both posts within a few minutes, and issued a non-apology.
I'm sorry, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to offend. I've had a lot of friends destroyed by some people prescribing them stuff they did not

Need but that was no reason for me to get that aggressive and say that, I apologize, I understand it's helped a lot of people, I spoke

Publicly too soon, short wit. I apologize again greatly if I offended anyone.

That was more of like a rant text to a close friend, I shouldn't have taken that to social media. I again, really am sorry.

Her "apology" is just her saying she's not going to say these thoughts in public anymore, not that she actually realized she's wrong.
