Kim Gordon has explained her comments about Lana Del Rey in her memoir Girl In A Band. Gordon says she was protecting Fraces Bean Cobain, who came for the Born To Die singer on twitter when Del Rey said in an interview that she wished she was dead already.

"I don't really know, I just sort of felt, on the one hand, protective of her. Poor Frances took her statement in some literal way and didn't realize that [Del Rey] was actually just playing around with her persona. She took it to heart."

The comment in the book "wasn't actually talking about Lana Del Rey's whatever her retro-throwback image is, I think that's interesting. So in the book, the context I was saying it in was really addressing issues of persona: How much of it is really you and how much of is something you're really selling, basically. The bigger question is, why are people so excited to see female catfights? That, to me, is actually the bigger issue, really. There's something that's just kind of dumb about Twitter."

Tyga appeared on the 92.3 Amp Radio show, with Chris Brown(!), on Monday for an interview. There he talks once again about his relationship with Kylie:

'Whether if I tell the world that I love her or I don't, it's gonna be me to dictate that, and how I want to keep my friendship and relationship with her,'

'I feel like it doesn't matter what the world thinks. If you're around somebody, and you love being around that person, that's all that matters. I don't feel like what anybody could say would change that... how I feel for her as a person... She's just a good person, she's got great energy.'

He refuses to admit their romance directly, but he admits his 'love' for her will 'continue to grow.'

On him hanging out with the Kardashian-Jenner klan: 'We've got a group of friends, we've been hanging out for the longest... I've been knowing her and her family for six, seven years, so it's all love there.'

When asked if he's in love with Kylie (subtle question lmao): 'I love her as a person'

Very few musicians make it big, and often have to find a new line of work. Others actually do enjoy some success and still walk away. A lot of them simply go into low-skill jobs or something not far removed from music, like teaching music, opening a club or a tattoo shop.

Others, though, defy any negative stereotypes about musicians being not too sharp or that a musician is the only job they can do. They get advanced degrees or some kind of higher education. In the process, they leave the spotlight. So here's a where are they now of success stories.

    Jeremy Gelbwaks

Technically, he wasn't a musician, I acknowledge that. He was the first actor to play Chris Partridge, the drummer for the "The Partridge Family." He left after one season because his father was transferred at his job and the family left Los Angeles. Gelbwaks would go on to study chemistry at U.C. Berkeley and ended up becoming a computer consultant from 1982 to 1999. Then he went to Columbia University, and is now a management consultant in New Orleans.

    Kevin Ellman

A touring drummer for Todd Rundgren, Hall & Oates and Bette Midler, he quit music to run his father's restaurant chain, Beefsteak Charlie's, which grew to 70 stores in the New York area before closing down last decade. He went to the College for Financial Planning and is now a certified financial planner and frequent guest on CNBC as well as running his company, Wealth Preservation Solutions.

    Sid Fletcher

Sid was guitarist for the Memphis-based 80s hair metal band Roxy Blue and probably wishes this video would go away.

Like most hair metal musicians, his career came to a screeching halt in 1993, so he enrolled in the University of Memphis for his undergraduate, and then the University of Tennessee dental school. He has been a dental surgeon since 2002.

Chris DeGarmo, Tim Calvert, Roman Fleysher

All three of these men became airline pilots.

DeGarmo, the creative force behind Queensryche, left the band in 1998 and now works as a pilot for private jets. DeGarmo was the band's chief songwriter, composing hits like "Queen of the Ryche," "Revolution Calling," "I Don't Believe in Love" and their huge hit "Silent Lucidity." The band has been a shell of itself since.

Tim Calvert was a well-respected guitarist known for his dissonant song style in the Bay Area thrash band Forbidden, and then he contributed to Nevermore's masterpiece "Dreaming Neon Black." In 2000, he proposed to his girlfriend, who said yes but asked him to give up the music lifestyle. So he chose the one profession that has you away from home longer than a musician. Today he's a pilot with SkyWest Airlines.

Fleysher, saxophone player for the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, began pursuing a piloting career in 2005 and now is Director of Operations for WindAirWest, a private charter airline in Ventura, CA.

    Nasty Suicide aka Jan-Markus Stenfors

Finland's Hanoi Rocks never made much of a dent in the American scene. It's best known for its drummer Razzle being killed in a tragic car crash with a drunk Vince Neil of Motley Crue. The Hanoi Rocks band was every bit as decadent as Motley Crue, and guitarist Nasty Suicide was the worst offender.

Nasty left Hanoi Rocks in 1986 and wandered through a variety of bands and finally quit music in 1995. He went to school, since he never finished high school, then college, then began pursuing an interest in pharmacology. He joked that he went from drug testing "in vivo" (on himself) to "in vitro" (in test tubes). In 2010 he received his PhD and has published a number of research papers and has become a well-respected drug researcher in Finland.

The scary part is he looks better now in his 50s than he did in his 20s.

    Jeff "Skunk" Baxter

Baxter was working at Manny's Music Shop in Manhattan in 1966 when he met Jimi Hendrix, and became his bassist in a pre-Hendrix Experience band. Baxter would switch to guitar and go on to work with Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers. He would later work for Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crow, Ricky Nelson and Dolly Parton among many others. And he sports the most distinctive moustache in music.

In the mid-1980s, he developed an interest in technology for military use. His next-door neighbor was a retired engineer who had worked on the Sidewinder missile program. Baxter would become thoroughly self-taught in military technologies and eventually wrote a five-page paper that proposed converting the ship-based anti-aircraft Aegis missile into a rudimentary missile defense system. He gave the paper to California congressman Dana Rohrabacher, and his career as a defense consultant began. He still works in missile defense and for NASA.

    Terry Chimes

Terry Chimes was the original drummer for the Clash but left the band shortly after the first album was recorded because of conflict with the other members (singer Joe Strummer, guitarist Mick Jones and bassist Paul Simonon). Chimes was replaced by Nicky “Topper” Headon, who got tossed out in 1982 due to drug problems and Chimes returned, to appear in the video for "Rock the Casbah."

He'd had a life-long interest in health and biology but it was in 1987 when touring with Black Sabbath, he was dealing with serious arm pain and the band's chiropractor cured him with one adjustment. That was all it took. He obtained his degree in chiropractic and has since started several holistic health centers.

Funny bit of synchronicity: Chimes's band on that Sabbath tour was The Cherry Bombz, which featured Nasty Suicide.

    Chris Lykins

Probably the most remarkable story. Chris formed Atrophy with four classmates at the University of Arizona in the late 1980s. The band took its cues from Metallica in a big way and given this was five college guys, the lyrics were a little smarter than typical metal. For example, the song "Puppies and Friends" rails against animal testing.

Music was never a career for Lykins. He always intended to be a doctor. After the second Atrophy album and tour, he left the band for Yale Medical School, where he was twice voted class president. After graduating, he began a five-year residency in Otolaryngology. In other words, an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist. He practices in his native Arizona and was voted one of America's best doctors by U.S. News & World Report in 2012.

Arkham Knight will be the first game in the Arkham franchise to be rated M. "From our point of view, we never wrote it or made it with a rating in mind,” Hill, the director of the game, tells IGN. “We never did that in the previous two games... We just felt that this is the story that we really wanted to tell." The game will not be changed to get a lower rating.

Well I didn't see this coming.

J.Lo and Ben Affleck shared a moment at the Oscars

Former Iconic Couple and Gigli co-stars, Bennifer 1.0, shared a brief moment during the Oscars. According to ABC News during a commercial break a Garner-less Affleck approached Ms. Lopez and whispered something in her ear which caused her to playfully hit Ben on his arm. After the brief encounter Ben moved on to schmoozing with Bradley Cooper and whispered something in his ear which did not produce the same reaction as it did with Lopez.

As you'll recall the ex couple was a caused a media frenzy throughout their much publicized romance, engagement, and subsequent break up. Since then each went on to marry, have kids and (divorce in Lopez's case) other partners and have spoken warmly of each other in the press over the years. In a 2012 interview Affleck divulged to the Hollywood Reporter that he and Lopez still touch base from time to time via email.

Just friendly ex banter? Could the public handle a Bennifer 1.0 reunion?
